@Cloverfieldnews Thanx for setup the blog.

@degravedi I am sure, with "the remake of a teen sex comedy" they've mistakenly meant another movie: "Super 8" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I99XFtSMsnw

No problem. I ran cloverfieldnews.com back in the day so I figured I should jump on this one too.

But really, thanks to all you guys for jumping on this stuff so quick, I woke up this morning and you guys had already figured all this stuff out. My goal is to just keep everything in one place because I'm sure things will get a little hectic once more stuff comes to light and people try to jump in, in the middle.

Yeah, I know you from the good ol' Cloverfield times Smile
I feeded my RSS-reader with your blog.

This is great to see! I have been looking forward to getting back in after the Star Trek game. Nothing better to come back to than another Abrams cloverfield style game! 7 Days is going to be a brutal wait. Laughing

@Nighthawk,

Even if Spielberg is paying money, JJ Abrams sees this movie as homage to Spielberg:

I know, sounds crazy Smile

@Sirpoins
Nice idea about another page.
What does >>>> stay for?
"Four Greater than Signs" or so? A hint perhaps?
I mean, this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater-than_sign

I was able to open a new tab (using IE).

You're right the Ctrl commands do work in IE.

Ok after experimenting. Ctrl commands do not work at all in FF. Ctrl-P works in Safari but not Ctrl-T or Ctrl-E (if Ctrl-E was supposed to do something normally in safari)

Pressing control at the Y/N prompt in IE and Safari gets entered as a blank character. In FF it doesn't do anything.

I don't have chrome, how does it respond? I know this is probably not important at all but I'm curious from a web design standpoint.

ctrl t = new tab
ctrl E or P just puts an e or p at the command prompt..

Hitting backspace creates what looks like a plus sign with an underbar

*all of this is in Chrome...

When I hit the "Print" button, the print confirmation window appeared BEHIND the main console window. I had to shrink it and move it out of the way to hit the "OK" to print.

Thanks Yiddleja...I finally got it to print..

what does it mean though...do you suppose there is some site where someone is posting info publicly about the Area 51 thingy and someone else is telling them to stop? If so...should we be looking for a website?

You can always use "Print to file" option. Or download a PDF "printer" like PrimoPDF that prints the source directly to a pdf file. (Great for saving internet receipts straight to the computer, btw).

Okay, if I go in and get to the screen and hit all of the Y to get to the "Accessing FIle List..." part...I then hit the box in the top right of the remote view 2.7 and it kind of resets, but when it does, there is now a print box that has popped up...I click print and it wants to print to default, but then when I choose my network printer it doesn't print anything...

Can anyone else get this to work?

Nice found about Morris! I think, it may be just a hommage to him, like the movie is hommage to Spielberg.

Uh... Spielberg's executive producer... So I wouldn't quite consider it a "homage". Smile

And, @Cloverfieldnews: Yeah, Dan Morris does sound like a better fit. I admit I didn't look far. Razz
