Hay guise, juss buttingk inn...

Been lurking for a while now, and I was wanting to join up. And what a time!

If I'm gonna contribute, however, I'd like to be an a****** and ask someone to correct me if I'm wrong.

Here's what I have...

The super 8 trailer had the phrase, "SCARIESTTHINGIEVERSAW" in it, at the end, and It also had a picture of a little boy, www.scariestthingieversaw.com has a wierd simulation program on it, which looks like windows 2000 running some kind of terminal program, from which you can Get to a screen where it says, "Device?...", and you cannot get to anywhere from there, at least until the next clue comes up. Also from this site, you can get two print-outs and an audio clip consisting of 5-7 (I forget as I'm writing.) unidentifiable beeps (which, personally, I think resemble telephone beeps, like when you press the numbers.). One print-out consisted of a picture that contained a communication between two people who are obviously hiding from someone with monitoring power (one of them says, "stop communicating publically") and a scan of a piece of paper which holds some lettering which can be made out to say VETR. The second is a scan of a piece of newspaper with two "x"'s written on it at different points. By doing some complicated stuff with the X's, you highlight the phrase, "Not certain if alive, maybe after us, we go underground." Also, there's an ad for a popsicle called rocket poppeteers, with a link to their website, www.rocketpoppeteers.com, which is yet to go operational. Oh, and it is in no way related to cloverfield.

Could someone tell me about anything I missed, or anything I'm mistaken about?

I would be very greatful; I missed Cloverfield and Star Trek, so I WILL NOT MISS THIS.

Jinx, you'll really need to read this thread to catch up:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29773

Much of the thread was discussed prior to the latest photo, and covers everything you mention, plus the latest.

Enjoy the read and welcome. We're grilling some trout for the 4th, so dig in. Smile

FaceBook ...
All photos seem to have been removed!

I just wanted to point this out:

Seems as though all of the photos have been removed from the Super8 FaceBook pages!

You mean these photos?

http://www.facebook.com/Super8Movie?v=photos

I still have access to them.

EDIT: It appears to be a problem with Facebook. I cleared my cache and could not access them. After a few minutes I tried again and could.

Hoorah. Very Happy

Okay, I'm pretty sure I'm caught up on everything except a character named Mr. Cartwright, and something called the coaelacanth journal?

I've never heard anything about those...

Mr. Cartwright is one of the two alias used in the potential purchase of the coelacanth on HLM.com. The coelacanth journal is what Minker refers to his blog as on the site. If you haven't read HLM.com all the way through, you should.

Indeed, and we discussed this a while back when the trailer came out.
