Creature created as an aftermath of Nuclear testing?

Found by military and taken to area 51?

Deemed to dangerous to be held there so moved to a facility in ohio to dispose if it?

People who got wind of a creature who was being held against its will wanted it freed. Even resorted to EXTREME measures?
Shocked

OH BTW Im printing out the Rocket Application and mailing it tomorrow. Lets hope for something!

When I watched the trailer, I thought more along the lines of mind control by the creature being transported in order to create an escape opportunity for itself, but that is possible too.

Everyone read this. Notice what it says about finding the aliens underground. This makes the newspaper message make a lot more sense.

Got rid of annoying HUGE text. Don't do that. - E

Not only that, but most of the alien conspiracy theorists contend that most of America's secret agencies and bases are concealed completely underground in massive complexes, similar to the dozens of underground floors at the pentagon.

Got rid of annoying HUGE text in quote. Please feel free to fix such annoyances when quoting a post. - E

Hmmm...maybe, ndemeter, it's a '50s version - like "Can't chew just six?" Laughing

about how many packets were "accessed" on the PDP-11 each day? because if it was three, then the "three stores open daily until 10" would nicely refer to that. that makes the times referenced in central time? meaning new stuff at midnight 2 4 and 6 central time, ie, 10 minutes? maybe. probly not. ah well, keep up the hunt, troops.

I dont know if this is just me but on the rocket poppeteers website the dark part of the moon looks like a face about to eat the little boys rocket. Maybe I'm just seeing things.

According to the source there is no correct answer.

The video stuff has been in there for a while; it's part of the library. Also, everything in Flash is referred to as a "movie clip" even though it's not what you think.

Just a few theories but I think the message is telling us: Not certain if "IT" is still alive, it may be after us, we're going underground. Also, I think the JFK speech was used as the delivery method to identify how the creature was created. Finally, I think more clues are provided by joining the poppeteers club. Maybe the device to access the next part of the website?

SOMETHING WEIRD!

When your at the DEVICE? screen, if you hit the tab button a yello box appears. Continuous hitting makes the box jump to black spaces on the page. Here's the weird part. Hitting enter produces a weird noise....

If you decompile the Flash (which many have done; it was the first way the new website was found) in to its source code, you will see code references to video components and other things. For example, the command to print the newspaper clipping discovered is in the source as static text, easily visible by anyone.

In the source code, there is nothing in there to indicate a correct answer for the "DEVICE" question.

That's a feature of Flash within a browser; every Flash file will do that. Hitting "Tab" simply steps through the actionable items in the Flash object.

When you're starting the simulator, after entering the third "Y", there is some gibberish containing the characters RT11. If you go to the Wikepedia page for the PDP-11 computer, you'll notice that one of the operating systems that ran on the PDP-11 was RT-11, which also has it's own Wikipedia page.

There is a discussion there under the section called Human Interface that talks about the various commands, and also about the format used to define devices.

I've tried everything listed there, but so far no luck.

Also, I'm sure everyone has noticed that entering .EXEC filename
where filename is one of the files lists in the new section revealed tonight, gives you a File Read Error instead of the Invalid Request error.

At this point, I'm having a hard time staying awake to keep hacking.
