By my latest calculations, we may be finished by 1pm (my time/Central) tomorrow. Hey, we may get lucky and the site may even still be up at that time.
Grrr... I'll be at work... with no internet access... which is weird cause I work at home.
I use a VPN and it completely takes over my PC. Sigh.

By my calculations, I am still getting 11pm ET.... I subtracted, and got the difference between how much is done, and the total. Multiplied the difference by 5 (For 5 seconds a byte), divided by 60 (to get minutes), divided by 60 again (To get hours).

How odd. I just managed to count 7 seconds a byte.
And after calculating i got 40 minutes for 18 to finish.

Any way you calculate it, it's too long for me.
And it's right before my last exam, too.

Maybe.
Math was never my strong suit.
(I tried my hand at the math, and I think I got 10 hours.... or maybe 10 minutes.... like I said....)
ETA: (Oh... you multiply by 5. Okay, so I'm getting 23ish hours, then.)

I did the math. Definitely 11pm Eastern time on the night of the 13th.
I'm not sure what to expect: PDP-11s don't have video or image support, so I'm guessing whatever happens will be some sort of text.

I'm quite glad I have the night off then, I shall have to set an alarm.

It's killing me btw that uF keeps choosing a Thursday to do it's update since an update to Flynn Lives is expected tomorrow too (If not GKNova6 as well). Seriously, can't we do this business on a Monday? Nothing big ever seems to happen on Mondays.
Uncle Spacely's a busy fella, there's crops in the field that need a-hoein'.
What time are we estimating at the moment?
Nighthawk has 11 pm EST (which I make 3 am GMT* and 8 pm PDT ), which seems to be the consensus.
The estimate for forum downtime is 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm PDT (which I make 1:30 am to 5:30 am GMT ) so there's a whole 2 hours 30 minutes (not taking into account the buffer that SpaceBass has added) that you might have to wait.
This assumes that the content behind the countdown is automated and not relying on some poor bod that has to press the 'release uber content' button at the right time. In which case they will have nodded off, miss the button and then it'll be later (thus speaks experience of one or two ARG countdowns) or slump forward and hit the mouse with their forehead, in which case it might be now.
Might I suggest using this time to have a nice cup of tea and a sit down before contemplating which one of the fourteen duplicate threads to post in?
It's more cups of tea than I thought.
*Woah! I ain't getting up for another four hours at least. This bit still stands - I sleep a lot
[EDIT] To attempt to smooth out the nonsense. I suspect I was only partially successful. I blame living in a country with only the one and original time zone. And my own stupidity.

I actually got the ability to print something a while ago, I just literally can't find my printer. Anyone else get a print window when they hit P ?

/ETA:
OK, OK....deep breaths...
Looky here for Vista users: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Print-to-the-Microsoft-XPS-Document-Writer
I still say that nothing will happen until the deadline though.

I am rather exciting but also gutted that according to my calculations we've got 16.5 hours (ish) until the countdown ends which is 04:30 am my time tomorrow morning. Balls! When I get into work tomorrow morning I hope to see this forum busier than ever and look forward to reading what you've all discovered. Hopefully, as it'll still be fairly fresh, I'll get to throw in my two cents.

Um, it can't be 4 am GMT when it's 11 pm Eastern Standard Time and then suddenly be 4:30 am GMT when it's 11:30 Pacific Daylight Time. Those two time zones are uh, 3 hours apart in the same season, and 1 more hour in different seasons. Interesting world of relativity you live in there.

Never could understand time zones myself. It's Thursday here... What is it, Sunday over there?
