I have tried rotating the pages in photoship to see if the edges match up in any way, similar to a puzzle. So far, noluck but will continue to try and work on it. I am convinced that there is more to that paper than the RocketPoppeteer ad...

If you put the pages face to face words to words, whatever you would like to call it the tear marks on both pages DO match up. I spotted this the night the articles were revealed to us. The thing is I saw nothing that really stuck out. Just look at the edges, right side of one page is the left side of the other page. If you catch my drift.

*Arck* Made me inhale my lurverly caffeinated beverage there, yellowdart. And, even worse, it leaves you with only eight dollars to give Mr. Slenderman - definitely a bad scenario to picture... *shivers* Wink

Hello everyone! I'm new here but I am very intrigued by all this "Super 8" stuff. So much so that yesterday, I downloaded the .swf from that website thinking I would find something when I decompiled it...but nothing. Just those two newspaper pages and a bunch of images used to create the .swf. However, I think that if someone used a copy of the PDP-11's user manual with operation codes they could find a way into it to uncover more. Maybe?

Right, we decompiled the swf and we know there is nothing left to be done there. We have all the files pulled out of it, for now.

I'm not sure if more files are locked up in the website's index, but I doubt it. They will probably update the files as the story progresses.

I feel like there is another website we're missing out on. I'm not sure what it could be, but I feel like there may be more clues in either the newspaper, printout, trailer or some of the other information we've been given.

Either that or we just have to wait until the RocketPopeteers site opens or we get something in the mail.

Who is the "us" in "we" then? Doesn't seem to be you or associates, as I looked into your posts and there is nothing to be found actually. Sorry, I only read someone posting that someone else had been over the source code but I never actually saw that original post. So, i'm kind a curious.

Yes, I looked at the code myself, just as a number of people on here have. The conclusions I was referring to have all been posted up by others. That's what I mean by "we" and "us".

My point in reiterating them was for the benefit of those who have not followed from the beginning and won't bother to properly catch up.

Concerning the Rocketpoppeteers/JFK Speech news article (Image 108), I can discern the partial text along the left side as bits from the speech, specifically about the 23rd and 24th paragraph.

I can't make out what is in the block-quote above that, though.

The one with the partial text: "...of, ...an, ...the, ...olve, ...wise"

Can anybody else find a reasonable suspicion of what that quote may be?

Uhhh...

I also just noticed that the text on the left hand side should not even be there. It is text from the speech, but it should appear between the third and fourth column in the newspaper. Between "... merely statistics toward..." and "...nuclear weapons will not..."

That's really weird. Why reproduce the speech out of order?

Oh boy, you guys were right. I was wrong.
I really shouldn't post at 3 a.m. in the morning Smile.
I hope I didn't make too much of an *beep* of myself.
Apologies again.

Awesome find with the out-of-order speech part. I have no idea why they'd do that... But it's definitely a clue. It has to be.

As for the large partial text at the top left:

OF
AN
THE
OLVE
WISE

It's just a quote from the cut-off part below that you posted the full transcript of:

There would only be the increased chance OF
accidental war, and AN
increased necessity for THE
great powers to invOLVE
themselves in what otherWISE
would be local conflicts

Thanks.

Now, I understand the need for correct spacing when we read the clue; therefore, the speech is arranged in the way we see it. But, why take the part from the middle and move it out of order?

Hmm...

Beware, as this might be the machine we're dealing with here:

It even has that TU56 dualtape "built in"

Another price- or timeless advertisement-and more:

Why so serious? Wink

And Edit: I guess I was wrong with thinking of the dual tape as nominally being two different devices after having seen this video showing an actual TU56dual in action: http://www.pdp8.net/tu56/tu56.mpg . The second tape spinning towards the end of the vid makes me think so.

If you go to ihaveproof.net, it's a blog that looks like it was wiped clean some time ago. This could be the connection to the printout. Or it could be OOG...

One of the possible anagrams for the cap letters is "We Have Stole Info"
