Not sure if that's what we should get from the 11's, but 5/6/2011 would be the appropriate release date as it's a Friday.

56 11

56=5015 (15-5=11) or 56=0

what does "SET TT:NOSCOPE" mean?

Also, has any one noticed any thing different on STIES? was this there before: *MAIN=MAIN,SUBR/S

also, I know we are trying to mount a device (which I know we can't do yet thanks to those who have decoded the site) but does
.BOOT DX1:DXMNSJ.SYS
tell us that device one is already booted?? so why then does it mention DEV 1 not DX1?

I think Super 8 is a memory to JJ's Grandfather and will be dedicated to him. I just watched his Mystery box speach and he mentions his grandfather a bunch of times about how he gave his super 8 camera to him. I think this is where we should look for the next clues. His Grandfather

I doubt that the production company behind this would hide any clues in anything directly related to the producers of the movie. That would be like looking at Men In Black to get clues about the aliens in this movie because Speildberg produced that one movie too.
However, this is my first ARG, so maybe its been done before (feel free to call me out on it).

Cheers

PDP-11

Hey, I want to point this out because there's a few relevant points on it. We've been focused on PDP-11 source materials but what the simulator is actually doing is running/displaying the operating system for the PDP-11.

And that operating system was RT-11...and if you look at this page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RT-11

You will see in the notes for the release history for v3 in February 1977 "Morris, D.".

I think D. Morris is actually displaying not because he's the owner of the computer, but because he was the developer whose name was stamped on RT-11 v3.

In other words, I don't think "D. Morris" is relevant to anything special at all.

I find it very suspicious that the "February" and "Morris, D." parts were added on May 12th, 2010.

Hmmm, yeah, didn't notice that...and the IP address is an address at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

I thought it was a little weird that was the only one that had a name next to it.

Also I just realized the version number right above D. Morris name on the simulator doesn't fit with the wiki...it says version 5.5, the wiki says "Morris, D." next to v3.

Methinks maybe someone is screwing with us.

Has anyone tried all of the possible commands with all of the files listed again since the sound file development? I don't have time or else I would.

The Audio Sounds.

My girl was using the frequencies listed in the Wiki as letters ...

600, 750, 600, 850, 550, 650, 650, 950 =

A , B , A , C , D , E , E , F

and solving a cryptogram got it to spell out ...

"AMARILLO"
"I FINALLY"
"RO REALLY"
"DID FLUUR"
"EVEN LOOK"
"AGAIN TTK"
"MOMENT TA"
