A higher def of the truck plate. Does the bottom look like it says Ohio to anyone else? So did the crash actually happen in Ohio rather than just en route somewhere?

Ok lots of info about the plate.
Looks like this one to me:
"These baseplates were used from the end of 1975 through the end of 1980. These were the last Ohio plates to use the complex numbering system and county codes that had been in place since the mid-30's."
The black stub in the corner is the separate month and year sticker which they began issuing in 1980.
I'm going to see if we can figure out what county this truck is from.

ETA: Looks like Portage county to me. http://www.15q.net/ohco.html

That's some damn fine work right there!
ETA:
Wait, wouldn't it be Summit instead?

E1S-F9500M: Portage
Not that it really matters they're both right next to each other. [Counties map ]

This gives us both a year and relative location for the person who caused the crash.
The black expiration date sticker in the bottom left corner was started in 1980 and the red on white license plates were retired when they expired in 1980. So assuming this guys plate is up to date, the crash took place sometime during 1980.

Based on the 3 examples we have from http://www.15q.net/oh.html#co :
1364 LQ = Clinton = 1LG-9999LQ
Q 544 J = Stark = M1E-Q1999K
Q 3201 M = Holmes = Q1L-Q999P
E 6425 K = ???
I'm really not sure, I'm going to say you're right degravedi, it looks like the letters are more important than the numbers.
So we have summit county, ohio 1980.

Regarding the word "Bonham" seen on the back of the train (See the pic here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?mode=attach&id=21084 )
Bonham Air Force Base was given to the Navy and renamed. "In 1964, the Pacific Missile Range Facility and Bonham was transferred to the Navy, becoming Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands."
This could also explain why their transporting stuff from the AFB. Except for the timeline, it's 16 years after the change in name that the train wrecks.

I've taken the shot's at the end of the trailer, Right after the picture of the kid and scaled them. It seems like the sequence is off. I've tried reaaranging the frames but I can't figure it out.
It seems like it's shot from either the inside or the end of a train cart (if that's what you call it)

Ah, I see what you're saying. I was assuming the incrementation went like:
E1A E9999A E1B E9999B; E1K E1000K E6425K; E1Q E9999Q E1R E1999R
But you're right, it could easily be:
E1S E1T E9999S E9999T; E2A E2B E2C; E6J E6K E6425J E6425K

But it's on Kauai, Hawaii. Unless that train is also a boat, I don't think it came from there. ;3

Is it perhaps Bonham in Texas?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonham,_Texas
I found a connection to Air Force, but it is perhaps wrong time:
Quote:
During the Second World War, there was a training camp and an aviation school for the US Air Force in the vicinity of Bonham, as well as a prisoner-of-war camp for Germans and German soldiers. Parts of the camp can still be visited today.
Just a thought...

There's also a Hill Air Force Base directly next to Bonham, Utah. Which would be the closest Bonham to Area 51.
[Google map ] That big grey space next to it is the AFB.
Edit: Some interesting [read kooky] info:
From http://www.uufoh.com/UUFOH_HillAFB.html
Quote:
Ogden ALC [Air Logistics Center] is part of Hill AFB, UT, which seems to have some kind of connection to Groom Lake.
And "Hill AFB link to Groom lake"
