Hired!

Got a position as an operator (Urban Water Operations). Effective immediately.

Let's hope nothing breaks down!

I got the Water Quality Analyst position. Good thing I just took Analytical Chemistry; hopefully I'll remember any relevant details! Haha

Thank you. But I have disturbing news. Somebody else used my same answers. I got an email saying they were considering me, then said this:

Dear [swift360]:

Another candidate has submitted the exact responses you did. Please answer this follow-up question as truthfully as possible.

(1) Did you plagiarize anyone's responses in your previous answers?

Thank you for your assistance in sorting out this matter.

-Lucinda Rodriguez

I have already sent a response email:
I absolutely did not plagiarize. I'm not sure how anybody would have seen my responses, other than an online spell-check feature I use, but that's private. These are my honest and truthful answers, and I am whole-heartedly responsible for them. Was there a time-stamp that can verify I submitted mine first; proving they were my answers? Or any other questions I can answer to help solidify my stances?

Thank you for notifying me as well, I will stop using that service.

So, um, whoever that was (if it was someone), don't copy my answers! Razz

Update: There is now an Employee login on aguateroindustries.com (via wordpress.com, believe it or not). Did anyone get a username and password in their confirmation e-mail or has this yet to be integrated? Oh, and whoever stole Swift360's answers... not cool...

Doh! Why would anyone copy someone's answers word for word!? At least change some stuff around people! Razz

I haven't received my username/password yet but it looks like things might be picking up soon enough.

Just got an e-mail from Justin McFly (my tech guy... rhyme... *giggle*) saying the username and password will be sent in an e-mail from wordpress soon. No one's asked me to actually work yet, though. Hehe.

Whoops, just found the login info in my spam folder. Better mark that safe...

Sweet, I'm in. A little disturbed by the "Howdy" and "golly, gee, fellas" but at least I'm on the inside. My username is ensign.jacob (alias).

Does anyone familiar with Wordpress know if the messages by the help button are preset by Wordpress itself or if they can be chosen by the site admin? If the latter, we might need to keep track of those messages.

Sorry to flood the forum, but this is a bit odd. Every time I reload the profile page there's a different cryptic sounding scrap of text in the top right corner across from the "Help" tab. So far it's said a slew of quotes from the Broadway musical "Hello, Dolly":

"golly, gee, fellas"
"Find her a vacant knee, fellas"
"I can tell, Dolly"
"Hello, Dolly"
"Find her an empty lap, fellas"
"Dolly'll never go away"
"We feel the room swayin'"
"You're still goin' strong"
"One of your old favourite songs from way back when"
"While the band's playin'"
"You're lookin' swell, Dolly"
"It's so nice to have you back where you belong"
"Well, hello, Dolly"
"So, take her wrap, fellas"
"you're still glowin', you're still crowin'"
"Dolly'll never go away again"

Only correlation I can find is that they're all from the same song ("Hello, Dolly")

It also fits with the welcoming "Howdy" message, I guess...

Thoughts?
