Number of pages we'll get to before something happens My money's on 123.
(Can you imagine how many pages there'd already be if there had been even some simple animation, such as the boy raising his RocketPoppeteer-dripping hand and pointing it at the moon?)

This thread has been going since mid-May. You haven't lived until you've seen a thread explode past 100 pages in less than a week. (New videos for Cloverfield.)
When the site goes 'live', we'll probably (hopefully?) have multiple elements that will warrant their own threads.

No, it wasn't Dennis (CloverfieldClues)... I do remember that though. Where is Dennis I figured he'd be all over this movie by now.....

Clues?? I'm fairly new to ARGs (i sort of followed cloverfield) but to me it really seems like we're missing something when it comes to putting the pieces together, it could just be me being frustrated at the fact nothing has happened in ages but does anyone agree?

s.f.s: I dont think we're missing anything right now. I think we're just at the point of wait and see. The only major problem with ARG's associated with movies and the likes is the time frame between start and release. Often times the games start before the film has been finished so the PM's have to drag things out for however long it may take for the movie to come out.
As others have mentioned, we have over a year to wait before the movie comes out. So that's a year of playing and getting to know each other The only thing I have to warn for is the temptation to believe OOG stuff just because we're so hungry for clues. Gamejacks a plenty will happen during the down time... and even some vets will feel the pull at least at first.
Yeah so enough of a rambling LOL Enjoy the game s.f.s and welcome to ARGing.

So, just a random question. I'm not saying it is, but how do we know that rocket poppeteers site isn't a gamejack? What keeps people from making sites like that one based off of the clues?

We don't, but the logo matches the newspaper clipping found on STIES pretty closely. RP.com was found just moments after the STIES newspaper clipping was downloaded. GJer would have to be extremely fast (like traveling backwards in time fast) to pull off a GJ that quickly.
There is technically nothing linking any of the IG sites together in this ARG. For all we know, they could all be OOG. But it's highly likely that STIES.com, RP.com and HLM.com are all IG.

Rocketpoppeteers.com was registered on May 7, 2010, before anyone knew about the Captain Coop printout. The printout was not available on the STIES site until May 13, 2010, according to the wikibruce page :

Just thinking, what with the letters being sent out, we may see some activity on the RocketPoppetter site soon.
It seems a mass mailing so most people should have their letters within the next few days. Which would lead me to hazard a guess of something with the site maybe Monday.
Anyone else have input? Or thoughts?
