I think that is a very probable location for the RP truck to stop. We should start a PAX thread and we can start a list of people from this arg who might be attending in order to coordinate our efforts. Kind of like putting together a street team. Smile

Any STIES update?

With RP and HLM updating, has anyone tried STIES to see if there's anything new.

I don't have access to a printer, and I'm using someone's else's puter that I'm unfamiliar with, or I'd do it. Wink

I don't have access to a printer either, but i previewed the conversation file, and there's nothing new, as for the rest of the site as I can see.

Other than a few con appearances, I don't expect RP trucks to appear in cities across the US or beyond. Good logistics reasons listed above.

Perhaps most likely that they mean starting the active 'recruitment' phase of the ARG. My money's on that scenario for now.

Since it seems improbable that there would be RP trucks crossing the nation, I am now a firm believer Rocket Poppeteers will be sold in stores. YAYYYY.

I don't know, it wouldn't be to hard for BombPop or another frozen treat manufacturer to do it. They do it all the time with themes for Cartoon Network, Warner Brothers, DC, Marvel, etc. The simplest way would be just an RP themed box. It would generate some extra attention to both the film and the manufacturer. It would probably be cheaper than purchasing a TV Spot. Besides, someone had to make the RP pops they gave away at CC.

I don't think they'd create a whole fleet of RP trucks to cruise every town in America, but I do think they've got plenty of time to run the RP truck they do have through most of the major cities in the US before the film comes out - next YEAR.

I'd guess that August and early Sept. are good times to run through the norther cities, then head for the south as fall comes close, then hit the road again in the spring - by which time Super 8 promotion should have reached a solid furor.

Conventions Around the World

I'd put my money on convention sites. Fans like me that dress up may be more likely to follow ARGS.

Here's a Calendar provided by Cosplay.com:

It is my hope they make it to New York Comic Con at the Javitz center this year!! ^__^

Going back to the slogan "Real Spacemen Love Rocket Poppeteers"...
I think there's something about that slogan that's important. in the letter, they specifically refer to astronauts...we are being welcomed to the astronaut program, and they want to know what it takes to become a certified RP astronaut, but then use spacemen in the slogan. Why not just say "Real Astronauts Love Rocket Poppeteers"?

What if "spacemen" was supposed to mean aliens? Do "spacemen" love Rocket Poppeteers like ET loves Reeces' Pieces?
