What, you don't like a subway? A footlong? A hero? A po-boy? A zep?

(I personally use Subway, using "hoagie" to describe the kind of roll, and "footlong" only when it's appropriate to)
A subway? You call the sandwich after the chain named after the sandwich and a pun? I think you're doing it wrong. Anyway, they're subs or grinders to me.

My friends and I tend to say "subway" if we're getting the sandwich specifically from Subway. Otherwise it's a roll or a baguette. South of England vocab comin' atcha.

See, South England varies from the Midlands too lol. I'd say a sub is a sub, a cob is a bread roll, and I know a baguette as the tastiest stuff in the world......although french sticks are a lot better..........bigger but better lol.

Oh man, yes. French sticks make the most amazing sandwiches in the world. Have you ever had tiger bread? It's the same crustiness as French bread, except that the baker applies some kind of magical sesame concoction to the bread which gives it a cracked stripy pattern and a fairly strong flavour. It's wonderful.

I'd complain that this should be in the OT thread, but it's in fact on topic.

No, I don't call it a subway because of the chain restaurant, I call it a subway because that's what it's called around here. Well, more accurately you call it a "sub", but I figured the full name was necessary.

Anything interesting/spooky happen? As in, relating to the story?

Was it filmed?

My jealousy has suddenly abated.

Make it during winter break! Lots of people are free then!
