You poor, poor soul.
You mentioning embarrassing things and horses/ponies at once is making me relive my obsession with horses/ponies.
I'm now tempted to go find my large box of related books and toys. I'm pretty sure there's a few encyclopedias too.

Ponies aren't young horses?

Nope. Turns out they're specific breeds of horse that are just small, or something. I'm sure quitthecarnival can tell us all about it. Smile

Hey all.

I hate to bring this up so late into the game and break the chat about the guys' day out (soo jealous. Thought about inviting noah for thanksgiving, but i thought it'd be awkward lurking this thread while he's getting eatten by the Tall Man) but i recently picked up HoL.

It looks great, and the way the book is structured is brilliant, but i'm not really sure how EMH nods to it. I know jeff actually owns the book and it's seen in "Jeff", but is it just a book that they liked and wanted to give a shout out to, or do they actually use the book as a base for parts of their story?

the short answer is that we have no idea. a passage about dual universes was specifically pointed out, yes, but there hasn't been much else mentioned about it. either it will become relevant later or the boys just wanted to give a shout-out to a book they liked.

Why yes, I believe I could.
Ponies are generally under 14.2 hands high (I cheated and looked up the exact number). They also generally have thicker manes/tails/coats. Their legs are shorter, they're wider, have thicker necks, and shorter heads.

Also, situps are when you come all the way up. Crunches is more like halfway up and your back stays mostly on the floor. Better for the neck and back I think. But still not totally effective.

God, I have become a nerd.

You know, reflecting back- the weirdest thing about this whole video is we now know Greenfeathers is named Nick.

Thanks for the education.

Ah, thank you for reminding me: HoL was brought up today, while they were talking about hipster-esque media. From what I understand, Jeff said he feels HoL doesn't have the attention it deserves, or something along those lines.

Was a surprise to me, too. Here's a page explaining the difference. I'm pretty sure that at least one of my PE teachers taught us to do crunches but called them sit-ups, though.

And it seems like there's a limited number of names to go around in the EMHverse. That could explain the Baby Hybrids having the same names as our Hybrids. It's not even a coincidence, it's just that there are under a dozen male names in use IG.

Straight, even if it is just a shout out I'm glad they did it. The book is crazy.

gods yes. (did you know the author typeset every page by hand?)

and it definitely hasn't gotten the attention it deserves! granted, it's not the kind of book that will appeal to your average layperson, but it's amazing that more sci-fi and experimental fiction fans don't know about it. i personally will be goading my baby brother's girlfriend to read it once this semester is over, hah.

Just saw the vid.

Awesome job TheGreenFeathers!

Also I was a tad bit jealous of Jessie.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

More liek I wanted to kill her amirite?

But other that that they did look adorable, good to know that they are in good terms, but it seems kinda weird to me. When I split with my ex-girlfriend we stopped talking completely.

Your so unique Evan! :'D
