Nothing super big like a video.

Unfortunately I can't say the same for TT. I think Noah has a video planned for us.

But we have a long weekend after that, so we may get something

Right. I meant as in for tomorrow/friday.

Maybe we'll find out what happened to Ryan

Even a "Happy Thanksgiving" Tweet from the EMH boys would set off a frenzy of debate on whether it was IG or OOG, or if it was IG, does it mean the Ryan's okay, 'cause obviously they wouldn't be posting "happy" anything if their friend was dead, and what'd I do with those Cheez-Its?

I laughed. So hard. Thank you for making my day.

I was going to make a joking and witty comment until I realised this would probably actually happen :T

You're very welcome. I'm not quite sure where this thought even popped into my head from, but it won't leave.
And you're honestly right about a tweet. We'd go absolutely crazy over it (and we all know it's true).

Of course it would. EMH has been slowly chiseling away at our sanity for the past few months. The only thing that stops us from succumbing completely is the perceived promise of more videos and/or boxes.
That insanity is the same place that Slendy-creepin'-on-turkey comes from.

Hay, I'm not insane. The voices tell me so

If that voice sounds anything like Evan, I'm inclined to think insanity is too gentle a word. Laughing

Reminding me!

I had a dream last night that I was in Jersey looking for the EMH guys to hang with.

Sadly I only found Vinnie.

He drove me around in his car.

No Evan D:

I think if we celebrated thanksgiving in the UK I'd be too tempted to put a foil slendy on the turkey just for shits and giggles. I might do it at Xmas. Last Xmas I put a foil bikini on our turkey. Everything else was a nice golden brown except where the foil had been......twas hella funny lol.

Well, now that I've lost my previous username! :D

This is AlmightyL. Lost the username, so I had to start a new one.

Hi again, guys and gals. Been gone a while, but with the new MH vid, my interest in all of this picked back up.

I was catching up on the EMH videos, and I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but I'm not sure how seriously, and I'm the sort that likes to annoyingly rehash things. Please, if I manage to be annoying, smack me.

I have noticed an increasing similarity between EMH, and the Silent Hill series. I know they've been mentioned here and there, but I think there might be something to it. Maybe not on EMH's end, but on our end.

First of all, in Joke's Over, we hear the 'siren' sound, before Slendy makes his appearance.
Then, in Cops Checked, No Body, we see the strange white monster(I am assuming this is 'The Rake'. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I can't bring myself to read through all the stuff I've missed just yet), that is very similar to some of the monsters from SH.
In Centralia, there is actually a quote from one of the songs spraypainted on the road. This is from Silent Hill 3's 'Hometown':

This town will eventually take me
Too late, too late for me
This town will win

There's also a reference to, of course, the Ashen Waste. We know that Silent Hill is, supposedly, perpetually burning. This is actually a reference to something else: Centralia, which is Pennsylvania, a town that is perpetually burning. Obviously, tie-in here to both SH, and EMH.

So, if we know all of that, is it possible to suggest that maybe some of the plots from the games are being used as well? I've read here and there about the bouncing back and forth between realities - or, in the case of the first Silent Hill game, the change from reality to the 'nightmare'. In this game, is Slenderman our metaphorical Pyramid Head? In the game, PH represented pent-up sexual frustration. Does that mean that SM maybe represents something strictly mental? I doubt that - if that were the case, I'd think that only one of the EMH crew would be able to see him, as opposed to all of them. What about The Rake? The Rake reminds me a lot of Valtiel, from SH3; he 'protected', so to speak, Heather, who was supposed to give birth to the 'God'; when you died, Valtiel would drag Heather off screen, supposedly to resurrect her from death(though how, we don't know; I always got the idea it was something disturbingly sexual in nature).

I understand this is a lot of speculation on my part, some of which may or not have been covered by you guys already. So:

TL;DR: LOTS OF SILENT HILL STUFF ABOVE.

However: I've only physically seen The Rake once. I am assuming he is the white crawling creature in Cops Checked, No Body. Is there any other physical sighting of him, that I've missed? I know he is obviously present(though unseen) in Alex. Help a gal out?

You can also hear him in the video Alex posted where he's filming Sparky scratching at the crawl space. There are a LOT of SH references throughout EMH though, you're right. I think someone else....or it could have possibly been yourself a while back who mentioned the Valtiel similarities.

Only one other Rake sighting, but the consensus is that it's OOG.

Look for the video

Welcome to the ARK.

Those are all great thoughts, Sumias!

I had a similar thought about SM the other day, that maybe he was somehow the manifestation of the crew's paralyzing fear and doubt. Except that there's not much going on behind the scenes that would explain such a thing. James Sunderland already had his wife's illness, rejection and death in the story as the catalyst for PH's existence. As far as we know, the EMH crew has no traumas or losses to explain the existence of SM in a similar way.

Now, that's not a given -- given the Corenthal reports and the fact that time and space are not as immutable as we thought they were (re: Jeff's tweets talking about their car vs. Slendy) there could very well be something that we haven't been shown yet. All in all, I like the possibility.

But I don't think that SM was born from the fear and doubt of the crew. I think he gains power from it as they spiral down further and further, but I don't think he was born from it. Whether he's a tulpa or something far more terrifying...that's up for debate, and I wouldn't expect EverymanHYBRID to give any explanations.

It's entirely possible that there are alternate realities involved in EMH, but I hesitate to give judgement about that kind of thing.
