A lot of people are questioning the fact that they live in such a spacious house, and who voices did they hear, etc, if their parents are dead. Don't forget that Jeff is, what, 19, he said? And Alex is younger. It's unlikely that they died that shortly ago, or that they could support themselves that long (insurance money aside). It's likely that they live with their grandparentsorsomething, and insurance money covers most of their cost of living (seeing how retirement money isn't that much).

Also, my cat's name is Tabitha. It's a pretty name.

Maybe instead of grandparents, they have friends of the family come over from time to time? That would explain the voices, but also the fact that they wouldn't be there all the time.

I think they did this really well though, since at least for me asking them directly is so out of the question.

How old is Alex again?

I mean, legally, I don't think Jeff is old enough to be his guardian anyway. Nor would they just allow relatives to randomly take turns like that. Alex needs a *legal* guardian, who needs to be someone who actually lives there and provides enough of an income to survive, and discipline, etc.

Just thought of this. I know this probably isn't the case but, since Evan can't remember talking to himself with the cleaver...I got to thinking. Is it possible that in one of his black outs he took the missing body and chopped it up? Didn't he say something about liking to cut his own meats or something?

@ledakins: i actually like the name tabitha. i wanted to name my hypothetical spawn that, hah. (but i also wanted to name my hypothetical spawn dorothy, so my taste in names is liable to bring much shame on a child actually saddled with them.) and it's the name of the smallchild in bewitched, which i fuckin' loved watching as a little kid.

on-topic: i'm going to throw my two cents in and say that i think alex is just batshit crazy due to the loss of his parents. people really do pretend their loved ones are still alive sometimes. it's spooky as hell, and i don't see why they wouldn't throw that in for extra horror.

Besides, the people who haven't realized my first name was Glenn (and that I use my real name for most things nowadays, btdubs they pronounced my last name right at one point!) by now would have to just be not paying attention to me.

1. Tabitha isn't a bad name, well at least the shortened 'Tabby' isn't.

2. Speaking of names, Mirandaray? Huh.

EDIT: Trust me, you're all reading deeper than necessary into Jeff/Alex's parent situation. It's assumed they live alone. Ignore anything such as extra space unless they mention something.
