TL;DR: ANNOYANCE.

As an old-school LOST fan, I totally understand where you're coming from. It's like trying to join the show at the beginning of Season 5; there's just no way you can figure out what's going on without going back to see the first four seasons.

There is a ton going on with this series, stuff that they've barely glanced over. At the same time, I feel Marble Hornets has done the same, and all the Slender Man video series, in honesty. HYBRID does do too much, but I feel like there is an overall plan for it.

With that said, all we can really do is point people to the wiki and help out where we can.

I think part of the issue with EMH and most other new SM ARGs is that they saw how impatient people were to see new MH stuff, so they think they have to pump out a lot of content to keep us happy.

And as we've seen from MH, that could take a week or two between new content, and the fans impatience with that, they'd be right.

In other words: by showing our impatience with MH, and even during downtime with EMH, we've dug our own graves. If we don't get stuff NOWNOWNOW, we get bent out of shape, and yet when we're given all this stuff, people still get bent out of shape.

Can't please everyone. Pick your battles: would you rather have too much, or not enough?

That's a good point. Me, I've always been content with waiting for MH or EMH to get the best quality stuff out there. I've learned to have patience with these kinds of series (another lesson taught to me from the old school days of LOST where these was one new episode every three or four weeks). If we could all take a lesson out of that, maybe this'd be smoother.

In . . . Jeff and Vince discuss the Slendy breaking into Evan's house thing. In it, they say something I can't understand and then that someone's been "acting a little weird even before then". I always took this to mean Evan. Who else had a reason to be acting weird? This is really standing out to me in light of the last video where "Evan" says that he "brought you these little fishes".

Okay, here's a disquieting thought....

What if the EverymanHybrid crew aren't the "little fishes"?

What if WE are?

Could the entire EMH deal been a carefully-constructed trap by HABIT to draw in as many victims from the Internet as possible? Influence the boys to start up their own little Slender Man video series, get us all interested, playing along, and then invite us down the rabbit hole to see how deep it goes?

It's an out-there theory, sure, but that doesn't make it any less uncomfortable. Shocked

I thought about that for a brief second too, and then decided I didn't want to think about it.
After all, the more you think about Slender Man the more likely he is to come after you. Who says HABIT can't work the same way.

Wouldn't that make Slenderman, and The RAKE to some extent, the good guys?

I'm probably going radio silent once the trials start. Good luck everyone.

Easy. You fell in love with yourself the day you realized that no other person alive would ever be worthy of your love. *Nods head sagely*
