 		The distortion occurs at around the point where they start running/the guard starts chasing them...I guess Slenderman could've been "helping", in a way - he doesn't want the guys arrested or otherwise incarcerated somewhere (Damsel herself said that at least she'd be safe in the hospital), so he could have messed with the guard's perception/memory of things.

Or else they're all pretty fucked. I don't see how they could get away with any of that the way it happened.

I really can't see this going anywhere that isn't them getting arrested/constantly on the run.

Yeah, that 'bout sums it up. They are... in a rather unpleasant legal situation. I don't know if they tried to run him over. Vince might have just swerved around him. Y'know. I hope.
