If HABIT is running this tournament, that means whoever wins will have some sort of direct contact with it. And HABIT is also in contact with Slendy, (quoth "Bumping Shoulders") maybe, just maybe, we'll be able t o come in contact with Slendy, and convince him to leave the crew alone doom ourselves for all eternity.

It's sad how hard I laughed at that. It could be so very true. So true that it's hilarious.
Personally, I try not to think too much about the future on this for the above reason. One Trial at a time.

HAH again that is a pretty general statement.

I tried to phrase it to be not-so-general. By using phrases such as "doesn't seem" and "I don't think."
Did I fail again?

I MADE SOMEONE LAUGH! Very Happy
I would totally do this one trial at a time as well, but I'm a planner. I gotta know what's coming next. If I got, like the script for EMH, I would probably be the most self-satisfied person within 4 miles.

HABIT did use the word "YET" when referring to the application cut-off.
There may be hope for you Wabbits yet. Maybe he/it will let you in if too many of us get eliminated at once.

And yes, an update would be good now.
Although, I'm glad they didn't do it sooner, because I got dragged out of town for a few days and just got back yesterday, and I would've flipped a bitch if I missed anything big. /totallynothidingtheselfishnesshere

@lunaticfish -- Thank you, thank you. I love you all, too.
My life was empty without you guys.

Well, while we're in Intermission, could you please explain your avatar in a single post? It's boggled me for awhile now.

That wasn't what I was thinking about when I entered. But it's understandable, you're no asshole.
I'd say the main difference between Alex and wanting fun is that we know this is a game. Though I do agree that his apparent lack of effort puts him in the rebellious-teen category.

I think a likely reason for Alex to have joined the tournament is to have SOME form of control over what's going on around him. He's a young man, after all, and young men especially hate to be out of control of their own lives.

(I'll resist the urge to go into detail with all the dumb things I did when I was his age. I was young and stupid then; I'm much older now.)

Why did I enter the tournament? Well, aside from getting in on the ground floor of something interesting for once, I view this as a psychological battlefield. Slendy and the Rake are well-nigh inscrutable, but HABIT- well, HABIT is right out there, talking to us, interacting with us. I'm hoping that in doing that, he reveals more of what's going on in the "EMH villain camp" that we can use to help the guys. If we can find just the right button to push, we might just crack the wall of mystery hiding the true intentions of SlenderRakeHABIT Co.

Don't worry, Dixie, my reasons are similar to yours. But I wasn't really thinking that it would be an exclusive thing. HABIT cutting it off at 231 was a surprise to me. He had three digits and I figured he'd just fill it with as many of us as wanted to be rabbits.

Letting more rabbits enter the tournament now would kind of defeat the "seven trials" premise.

I guess he could make them do the previous one(s), but that's kind of sloppy.

Perhaps if the numbers do end up getting too low he could allow the remaining rabbits to either reactivate an eliminated rabbit or extend an invitation to a new one.

Let's get on with it though :impatient:

hmm... kinda, but the design was different. all the designs looked like really long thorns--... tentacles... yeah, I remember now, the painting on his face was a white background with tentacle designs.

I figured it was gonna be a somewhat exclusive thing. I didn't know how many they were actually going to let in, but if they're doing a tournament, it'd be hard to allow EVERYONE who follows the game in on the action. I thought they'd leave the application open for a day or three & let everyone who applied in, though.

True, but it doesn't explain the meaning of the YET. It wouldn't really be fair to those who make it to round four to be thrown up against new people who didn't do the first three challenges. And having newcomers just redo the first challenges would likewise be unfair, since they would already know what to expect. Then again, HABIT's not likely the kind of guy to go by what's fair or not.
