Damsel just posted Flogging Molly's (great band btw) "The Story So Far" in one of her random music entries. Guessing we'll have that recap video they promised shortly. I hope EMH doesn't get owned by school starting up the way Tribe Twelve and Attic Tapes have.

So, I couldn't tell from "Reunion" -- did it seem to anyone else as though the Hybrids had noticed Slendy in the video afterwards? They seemed a bit sheepish/confused about the video, but that might've just been a "hey, we found this note. It was weird, man" sort of thing.

Evan at least seems to know exactly what's going on. They seem to be acting more sheepish because Vince has put a veto on any real action or even mention of the big tall guy following them around, and they respect him enough not to yell at him while they're on tape.

(I haven't been able to read through the 30+ pages that I missed while on holidays, so feel free to trout me! This series has gotten really, really interesting! I hope the EMH guys can pat one another on the back for me -- whoever is writing this and editing it seems like they're getting their stride something fierce!)

Who does the editing for the show, in-game? Since if Evan managed to get his little bit on, I'd assume that it's him, but...

In game, I figured that it was a mix of everyone. Out of game, I don't know but I think they're the best. Very Happy

Just going to toss a gentle nudge towards the wiki -- feel free to contribute; when we're all on the same page, everyone wins.

Also, can we get the link dropped someone more prominent than the bottom of page 119 -- like, say, edited into the first post?

Or you can throw it on the TVTropes page.

Which could do with some contributing towards it, incidentally. If examples are added, I'll cross-reference them to the relevant trope pages~ *shrug*

I threw a link to the wiki on TVTropes -- I read there (near-obsessively) but have never contributed much; what's the policy on linking to other wikis there? I'd imagine rather lenient, but it's better to be safe.

CYSTW update. New music vid, I think it's the White Stripes... and more of the swirly hand things we keep seeing around.

Hi, first post here...

Lyrics of the White Stripes song (she really has good taste btw):

I never knew that I had to be this protector
So many thoughts inside my head a strange collector

But now
But now
But now
Now, now, now, now, now

You thought you heard a sound
There's no one else around
Looking at the door
It's coming through the floor

300 people living out in west virginia
Have no idea of all these thoughts that lie within ya

Also, the text under the weird hand thingies says "Thinking of hanging these around the place. I hope they… work? I am hoping they do. She's been gone a while now. "

I think this might mean:

- Damsel might be willing to take a more active part in this whole mess, instead of being just a bystander/stalker like she has been in the past

- those hand things are supposed to protect you? It might just be that Jessa made them and they remind Damsel of her, or something like that

- also, I'm sure the whole world and their cat has seen it by now, but in the timestamp in the picture's bottom right corner says 2010/4/12 - isn't usually year/month/day in these dates? I've been checking EMH's youtube channel and video n#4, the one in which they push the car, was posted on the 11th of April - but maybe I'm missing something obvious? It looks like CYSTW started in May so maybe there's a missing entry - or maybe it's a red herring.

(Unless it's day/month and it's a pic FROM THE FUTURE) Shocked

EDIT: quick google of the White Stripes lyrics brings up this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_Creek_Flood

I was posting the same thing when you scooped me. Smile

The swirly hand thing was introduced in one of the ustream videos, wasn't it? A gift Jeff had given to Jessa? I just checked, and all the ustreams were later than April 12. That would seem to discount the possibility that Damsel had been keeping tabs on Jessa for longer than we'd realized.

Tineye doesn't find any matches for Damsel's photo, so OOG it looks like it was taken especially for the game. IG she could pass off the picture as something she found online somewhere, and of course she could also say her camera has the wrong date.

So what do we think of April 12, 2010: clue or production artifact?

Apparently I cannot lurk any farther and post Sad Oh well, It's no biggie.

I've posted many times here, but always as another unnamed guest.

Onto theories!

Maybe Jeff and Damsel had known each other before he decided to give her the necklace? And he saw damsel had them and thought it would be a great idea for Jessa? I've always thought of Evan as the one to know her, but who knows.

The time stamp is confusing, but if it was an OOG mistake they could have just taken a more recent picture.

We should ask her about that immediately.

lol Cool

Damsel's other pics didn't have any timestap, that makes me think it's a clue.

I didn't remember that from the Ustreams! I just thought it was some random thing that art students like Jessa or Damsel could make/collect in their spare time.

Did Jeff said something about the hand's meaning? Anyway, it seems to be a common symbol - some people said it reminded them of the hamsa? A symbol almost identical has been found in rock art found in the American desert southwest, at least according to this site: http://www.rubberpoet.com/rm11aPetroBW.html (search for "hand spiral" in that page, it brings up an image almost identical to this one). Maybe all this has been already brought up?

EDIT: it def is a protective symbol, at least to me.

EDIT OF THE EDIT: it has nothing to do with EMH, I think, but on that same page, look for "fremont man", and then try not to think of our Slendy...

And yes, I thought it was Evan who knew Damsel too. I am officially confused. And also officially going to sleep, it's really late here.

During the 7/24 Ustream chat at 21:45, Jeff talks about giving Jess a necklace which he shows for the camera. Chekhov's gun? Maybe? I just thought I'd mention it for future reference. Neutral

Looks like bendy made a great call here. Smile

EDIT: OK, double-checked and saw that the video necklace is very similar to the swirly-hand things but not quite identical. The necklace has a polished stone in the palm, not swirls like I'd (mis)remembered. Still, similar enough for clue purposes?
