 		So I asked Alex about Jeff and the fire. Got the response that Alex was just a baby. What he DOES know though after I replied with "shit, that must have been harsh on him" this was Alex's reply:

"must be those cloned cattle and steroid they drink Smile and yeah, about that time. it was harsh, he even had to talked with a doctor for a while."

Does Jeff ever mention talking to a doctor after being trapped? I can't remember.

 		I'm slowly getting info out of him lol. He said he has no idea who the doctor was but he said he'd also talk to Jeff about the incident providing Jeff doesn't go off his nut at him.

Nope, no doctors in there.

On one hand, it would make sense for the doctor to be Corenthal, since he found the medical papers in his old school. And Corenthal used to work with children, right? On the other, how the hell didn't Jeff recognize the name? Unless something really messed with his memory, beyond the simple trauma. I mean, since he remembers the accident, he would have no reason to have removed such a detail without "external help".

Theories:

- it was in fact Corenthal under a fake name, since he had been forbidden from medical practice for going nuts over the HABIT thing, he had to change his name and move to another state, where he took another abilitation and restarted to practice.

- in a bit of a twist, the doctor is HABIT, who took a degree in chidren psychiatry after doctor Corenthal saved him somehow (this one makes no sense but I like it).

- the doctor is a random doctor with no bearing on the story, and that's why Jeff never mentioned him/her. EDIT: The "Most probably this" bit should have gone here.

The mind is a funny thing. Even small trauma can cause your mind to block stuff out. I find myself remembering things from my childhood that I'd blocked out for years so maybe Jeff'll remember if he saw Corenthal. I can see where you're coming from with the Corenthal thing though BUT if he was struck off from practising surely he'd have had to have used a different name on the notes.
I'm wondering if HABIT was a patient or a doctor tbh. Didn't the medical notes have HABIT written all over them?

I just noticed the location on your profile. I'm away at college now, but we live in the same town! That's really cool.

Also, it would be interesting if the doctor was Corenthal. I guess it could make sense that he wouldn't think of trying to contact him until he could make a connection with the creepy stuff happening (finding the papers).

I find it plausible that Jeff might have been treated by Dr. Corenthal as a young'n but wouldn't recognize his name now. I have to struggle to remember the name of my kindergarten teacher and elementary school principal, and I can't remember my third-grade teacher's name for the life of me. A lot of stuff you think would stick with you really just doesn't. Plus, since Corenthal is Jessie's uncle, it's not unlikely he would've set up practice in New Jersey between leaving the Ohio children's home and retiring to Florida.
