My argument there is that we would've gotten a hint of that if they had by now. Has anyone at any point noticed anything when mentioning Damsel that made Jeff look uneasy? Or Evan, if he knew about it?

I don't know, it just seems unlikely. And the in-game gamejacker would work if we weren't so far into it already. I mean, we've known about Damsel since, what, June? Early July? Usually you can pick up on someone being a gamejacker pretty early on. I'm thinking she's legit.

Of course she's not a gamejacker, and of course her and Jeff didn't have an affair. Both of those theories are just so far out there, there's no possible way they're the truth. Come on guys, quit looking so incredibly deep into it that you've crossed from weird into average explanations for real life. This is a Slenderman situation with guest appearances by The Rake, it isn't a soap opera.

I gotta agree with Joker on that. Boyfriend-girlfriend-mistress drama doesn't really suit a horror tale of this magnitude. Plus, I think Jeff's got enough to worry about as it is.

Speaking of gamejacking, how should one identify a gamejacker, really? It's one of those things that appears to be fairly ambiguous, in terms of how individual gamejackers handle a gamejack.

I don't see anything that really indicates Damsel was ever a gamejacker, given how the first mention we get of her site is through Evan. She certainly doesn't start making references to acknowledging the guys until well into the series, when people continue to ask her. Seems inevitable if you have that many people asking you "Do you know these guys?" you'd look into it and probably contact them.

Most damningly, I could understand it being a gamejack if the first sighting of her blog was just Evan, and she decided to have some fun. But it's not. Even before Evan we have the shrine, indicating she's involved IG even though she doesn't know it. She's definitely connected.
