Oh, the Rake seems to be occupied at the moment. Perhaps one of his cousins, though: the Fop, or the Dandy. Perhaps even the Dapper Dan Man. Smile

I'd go with his brother...........the Mop.

No. Not going to go there. Just way too easy. I think you can figure out where this joke was headed.

Yep pretty much, I reckon he has a fair few relatives in just 1 house. All named after household items. lol.

Yup. You are going to have to call pest control. Fumigate the place. Mind you, what with the price of Rake-b-gone these days, it may be better value for money just to take off and nuke it from orbit.

I like the idea that Uniontown is the land of Ashen waste. It makes sense, in an ARG puzzle sort of way. I tried to look this up and got

This mildly creepy political site

I also tried to find more about the ash dump. I found the location of the dump. Apparently it's the Arrowhead landfill, north of Uniontown. I've spent more time that is healthy for me looking at satellite images of rural Alabama, but I can't find anything that looks particularly like a Ashen Wasteland.

And, to go waaay of track here: North of Uniontown and southwest of Birmingham is the Talladega National Forest. It's supposed to have mountain ash trees and, before being bought out by the federal government in the 1930s it was a 'vast wasteland'. I really doubt this is the solution, but it does pose an interesting question: If you start with a random place in the USA and dig around, what are the odds of finding references to both ash and wastelands of some sort? I'd say pretty good, which is bad news for us inquisitive hybrids.

I tend to get up in the middle of the night to slam on my wall because of scratching noises coming from them. I used to just assume it was just possums or something getting trapped, but now.......

Okay, you definitely win in the creepy stuff that happens in your house stakes.
I mean, that's seriously scary.

Neh, she just watches her dad play left 4 dead etc. She laughs her head off every time he gets a head shot. She is an odd child. Has no fear whatsoever. As for the other creepy stuff, when we finally get round to swapping rooms with her I'll be sleeping with a camera on just in case I catch whatever it was that was upsetting her. Weirdest/creepiest thing that's happened is hearing a male voice say "it's ok" to her when she whined in her sleep. It's not been too bad recently though. Just the slendy shaped shadow on my bedroom wall that I'm not shitting brix about thanks to my better half lol.

EDIT: I'll try to get a video of my little "angel" growling at us during the day. It's usually when someone does something she doesn't like, such as telling her "no" lol.

Hmm...That reminds me of Pearl, from The Scarlet Letter for some reason. The father wouldn't happen to be priest would he? or you an adulterer? Wink

As for my house, it's not built on an ancient burial ground....as far as I know....what I do know is that when the park across the street from me was being built, some poor bloke got killed with a forklift truck. Apart from that I've not found out much more about the area. Whenever I ask at the local library/council they seem to think I just want to break into houses lol. I must look dodgy. Can't imagine an 8 month pregnant burgler though...can you? lol.

"This is the song written for the train chase.
This is the chase, Rocky and Ken.
He tried to kill me with a forklift.
Olé! "

...had to do it, no one else had done it yet.

I'd forgotten about it, but I used to have that exact problem. Using an ultrasonic pest repeller cleared it right up. Maybe somebody should suggest one of those to Alex.

Or it may just be that they're having a hard time getting the Rake costume to look good up close.

I'm betting it's this. Frankly, it didn't look very good at a distance... Slenderman looks excellent up close, though, have to give them props for that. When he does the head swinging thing in Healthy Eating, boy-howdy, looks miles better than the Operator from Marble Hornets.
It's probably just hard to do a costume of the Rake that looks any good on a youtube budget... especially now it's being established it has claws.

Told you not to throw out your "crackpot" theory too quickly, Mattwan.

@dixie_wolf This is very interesting... but honestly, it just leaves me grasping at more questions. [J] http://bit.ly/aVTSwf #EMH

Jeff may be grasping at straws, but he obviously found it significant enough to warrant a direct response.

They replied to a mention of Centralia PA saying it sounded familier. Centralia was home to a deadly mine fire, infamous to the point that the film adaptation of Silent Hill had the titular town's reason for being abandoned directly influenced (as the writer has confirmed) by Centralia: an everburning deadly mine-fire.

Slendy+Rake+Silent Hill?

Do any of the guesses have ANYTHING TO DO with:

the morse translation of the hidden videos?

Nice, for once they replied to my tweets Wink Not that the link was originally mine, just passed it along. It'll be interesting to see if anything comes of it.

The centralia town fire reminded me a lot of my town when I first heard about it.
The mines in my town used to be how all the men in town worked and our town was full of workers. AN explosion or something happened and the mines were sealed off for ever. Apparently there's enough coal to keep the fire going for hundreds of years.
