 		I am now inclined to believe they are more than just memories - almost like a hyper reality, mixing thoughts, memories and real life - very much like dreams or the Sadako-video.

Many people as of now still seem to see the guys as ARGers, with the possibility of timelines/alt. realities crossing - but I think they are more. The use of complex books and avant-garde music indicates these guys aim for something higher and wilder than what we can imagine (same with the video sent to Magus, the "memory-transmissions" and the newly unearthed meta-vids).

Whatever awaits them in Brooklyn - it's not friendly.

Earlier this year, the New York Times had a surprisingly sympathetic piece about the major suspect (who pleaded "no contest", which allows for a conviction without his acknowledging guilt). He's done his time and has been deported back to Poland, so the EMH crew probably aren't meeting him at Transmitter Park. Wink

It's (relatively) close to them, it's a massive arson fire that was never officially solved, and all efforts to rebuild have been stymied... as far as clues go, it's the biggest plank of wood the guys have to cling to while they deal with this flood (d'ya see whut I did thar?) of strangeness washing over them.

 		*sigh* just to get an answer I've sent a message to Crash621........I hate sending them messages on their personal things but hopefully it'll clear up whether the videos are IG or OOG. I STILL think they've only been put up for the monster mash-up. How else are they supposed to get their footage into the contest? The instructions for entry were to post them as a response to the contest advert. It would pop up in a list of related videos for anything to so with slenderman as THE ARK and Slenderman are both part of the mythos and usually tagged. Key words people.

Now can we PLEASE get back to the series?

 		Here's the way I'm approaching the contest videos.

If these videos just referenced thematic elements and possibly the creatures (since they would already have the costumes laying around you know), I'd be willing to say that these are just contest videos using scrapped EMH ideas.

However, these go a step beyond that, take for example the video Welcome to the ARK. What does that title have anything to do with the video outside of the context of EMH? It uses blatant arc words (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ArcWords) established IG within the EMH story (created from the audio distortion over the song from the "Thirteen year old myspace girl" video and CYStW's ramblings.) I believe they wanted us to find these.

At the beginning of WttA Jeff is watching EMH videos and comments something along the lines of "yeah, that was a long time ago." as if to say "hey, this is part of the same story."

Also, the use of purple tape has always been a "notice this" motif throughout the series, going so far as marking the locations of the boxes in real life. OOG I see no reason why they would use the purple tape like they did in this video. OOG it seems kind of silly for them to be patching up their wounds with what appears to be purple tape and gauze.

As for Slender Man since footage from that video seems to appear in WttA, I'll take that as an acknowledgment that Slender Man is IG too.

I'm not going to say that I'm 100% believe these to be IG, but I'm not convinced they're OOG

Side note, CYStW's first post (found here: http://canyouseethewords.com/post/652132390/from-the-book-of-genesis) is the Biblical Noah story with the ending about Noah living after the flood stricken out. If we are to believe that the "Dark World" the EMH Guy's are living in in WttA is the ARK as the title implies, maybe this means that they'll somehow survive the "flood" but not necessarily live happily ever after.

Also, remember the note enclosed in the second box?

In WttA Vince and Jeff seem to have a different frames of time. Vince claims the sun hasn't risen in three days, Jeff seems to think they were with the Doctor and the Girls only a few hours ago. That sounds like a text book space-time anomaly to me.

Yes. This is potentially very interesting
Who is posting the boxes?
Why?

Perhaps it is the EMH crew from the alternate reality or the future (or whatever)

In fact, has the purple tape been seen in any of the normal videos? The ones that both they and us can see?
If not, then perhaps we should view the purple tape as a signifier that whatever it is drawing attention to is not of 'our' timeline/reality - for example, when evan is seen with it over his mouth in the alternate bit when they are knocking on the door.

Just a thought

The only time I can possibly think of off the top of my head is the time Evan had it over his mouth during the UStream. Does anyone know if they can see this part of the UStream?

Someone mentioned that Vince had played it off as "Evan just being Evan" or something like that.
