That's one of the pieces of Rakelore that's easy to miss, like the fact that some people greet it with "an almost childlike sense of playfulness and curiosity". Like Didz said, though, its saying your name seems to be bad news.

EDIT: I'd wondered that too, Didz. My assumption was the ship's cargo, but it could have been something more...metaphysical, I guess. Hollowed him out, so to speak.

Therein, Didz, lies an interesting question.
I don't think he means that The Rake took everything in a material sense. I want to say it's a psychological thing but I can't put my finger on what.

Who do you think is more responsible for Jessa's disappearance, Slender Man or the Rake?

I think there is a certain significance with Jeff. Evan and Vince are not "targeted" the same way as Jeff is, or as the people around him are. The school fire, the doctor, Jessa and his brother... something is off, but I can't put my finger on it.

The videos now DO define time and logic, so what the box said has come true.

Also, notice how the box tells us what kind of "chapter" is ahead? With the first box, we got the burnt photos - the pale tall stalker shows up. Then, we get the HABIT-plaque, and all since has revolved on HABIT and his interaction with the crew.
So whatever will be in box 3, brix will be shat due to its implication.

Might we be reaching somewhat by assuming that there even is a connection between Slendy and the Rake (Insert Slendy & The Rake theme tune here)?
For all we know, they both exist in the same universe and are both perhaps drawn to the crew for separate reasons, or similar reasons without a unified purpose.
I just had a massive epileptic tree sprout up in my brain but I'm not going to release my WMG just yet.

Well, Vince wrote himself that it is "peculiar" (I think) that two paranormal beings stalk the EMH crew at the same time... or at least in a short time span...

Well, I was actually thinking more along the lines <wmg>that either somebody in the crew (Jeff?) has generated some sort of nexus between the darker creations of the internet and our dimension. Perhaps both The Rake and The Slender Man have been brought forth from this nexus somehow and are drawn inexorably towards this nexus and that's why the crew are being stalked.</wmg>
