I'll wager that Linnie saw Jeff's videos regarding Dr. Corenthal, found out they were in New Jersey and travelled to meet up with them, possibly with the Rake in tow. Just possibly.

ah! Another theory regarding Jonny's post. Perhaps Linnie is being stalked by The Rake and has -somehow- managed to ward him off for all that time. Unfortunately, she was finally gotten by Rake just before the guys found her, thus their seeing the Rake run off when they found the body. So the Rake didn't mean to become known, the guys were just in the wrong place at the wrong (maybe right, since they were able to get the note) time. And perhaps this Doctor is somehow related to both Rake and SlenderMan.. possibly a psychiatrist who deals with patients believing themselves to be stalked by "mythical" creatures?

I just noticed something about the WttA video:

As well as, "That was a long time ago man."

Maybe they are in some sort of central place connecting several realities, each with their own version of EH. Or something.

Oh, one other thing, just up the road from Titusville, in Mercer County NJ, there's a trap-rock quarry. Trap rock is an igneous (volcanic) rock. Volcanos= ash ?= ashen wasteland for a quarry?

The quarry is called Moore's Station Quarry.
