Had to stop lurking and register just to say my piece - I think all 3 of the guys are differing degrees of Seriously Unwell. Beyond the obvious memory patches, etc.

With Evan it's obvious. Everyone's said it. He is the most aware of SM but at the same time is clearly being driven to psychosis by him. I think his homicidal behavior as seen in the Slender Man video, whether that's canon or not, is supposed to be indicative of his larger character arc as we've seen. He's right, but he's also nuts and something like that is going to go down if Slendy doesn't kill him first.

With Vinnie it's that he seems to be sort of the 'control' figure in the Slendy experiment. Others have commented that he seems detached and disconnected, and in the last few weeks and months Jeff has taken the lead, whereas Jeff was once a very peripheral figure in early videos. He's just floating about, he seems diffident and neutral at all times, passive.

Jeff's issues often fly under the radar because he is in the de facto protagonist/truthseeker role of late, but honestly I've thought he was going bugshit since he first took his little trip. Since then he's seemed so full of conviction on so many different things, from out of nowhere, only half-explaining his new motives and all these stories from childhood - in a way, as random as Evan - that it's clearly mania driving him. Add to that his laughing at the idea of Jessa being dead in that bonus video, as well as his violent reaction to Damsel, and disoriented behavior otherwise. Jeff has not struck me as rational for at least two months. None of them are. IMO everything Jeff says has got to be taken with as much salt and "IDK, is he psycho?" as the rest. Jeff has that same euphoria briefly exhibited at the end of WTTA, when he giggles right before he is dragged away.

Obvious 1st post is obvious.

Awesome!! Out of the house for the afternoon and it all hits the fan. This definitely seems to be the same place as the WttA vid, which scares me. Can't wait to see where this is headed.

Things I've noticed in the vid: around 3:30 and 3:37 there are words written in chalk on the concrete. At 3:37 it says "PIPING" I can't make out the other one.

Once we are in the basement there is a Chicago poster leaning against the wall. Is this another hint, like Afro-man, that we need to be looking at Chicago for something?

Something interesting I don't think anyone's mentioned yet: At around 5:45, when they're driving at night, Jeff says, "Did you see that?" The camera then dips down, as presumably Vin looks at the playback screen and then says, "It can't even see it in the camera. No one's going to believe this shit."

Slendy does eventually show up in the camera as they're about to ram him, but it looks like he's able to not show up on video if he chooses not too, or something.

Mr. Man controls the horizontal and the vertical completely.

Something I just noticed on the Ashen Waste vid: at the very beginning Vinny says "our friend the disappearing body" and then goes on to say that cops don't believe blabiddy blah.

So I'm guessing they called the cops to get them to identify the body and when they went back, the body was gone?

After watching this video and seeing Evan's condition and seeing what happened to them after trying to mow down Slender Man, I have come to this very final, very obvious conclusion:

We are all well and truly fucked.

Edit: odomjosh- well, the title of the video DID say "Cops Checked, No Body."

Hence the video title, "Cops checked, no body". Emphasis on the NO BODY part.

It also seems bizarre to me that Vinnie wouldn't come back on and frame the end of Land of Ashen Waste after such a bizarre series of happenings by telling us what occurred. But he seemed a little off to me at the beginning anyway.

This new update was absolutely brilliant. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I hope they clear some stuff up soon, though - I'm thinking that they probably had memory lapses in between getting Evan into the car and trying to run over Slender Man, otherwise you'd think they'd be more worried about getting to a hospital. At the very end of the video, I wasn't sure whether or not Evan was even alive, but from Vince's casual wake up call it seems like he is... here's hoping for a Twitter update shortly!

Why oh why did the camera fuzz when looking at Jeff at the end? Is there a reality shift? Did one Jeff disappear and another replace? Confuzzled.

Never has a video series made me question my sanity so hard.

Agh. At least Vinnie finally gets it and... Jeff seems a bit well and truly unhinged. Ugh, I don't really know what to think of Jeff, something about him just screams "not entirely real" in the scary way. It's like we're dealing with eight different Jeffs.

Then again, Vinnie's "ram it" made me laugh so hard. He's still the sanest one in this.

And nooo, Evan. Sad You're terrifyingly badass.

Is anyone else curious as to why EVAN is the one flipping out about Slender the most? I mean, besides popping up in Evan's house that one time, we haven't really seen him do anything else to Evan. If anyone should be flipping out and wanting to kill Slendo, it should be Jeff, who is seriously becoming the butt monkey of this series with all the crap happening to him lately.

Also, I noticed that Vinnie is the one doing these intros the most. He seems to still be clinging to this routine, dare I say, this habit of talking to the camera, of talking to us. Mayhaps it's his way of clinging to sanity?

We know that the songs in this series are important markers, Hotel California is all about being trapped in a place you can't escape from, a place where time moves differently, and you are surrounded by sinister beings. Maybe, beyond just the basement, as soon as they leave that building, or at least as soon as they are driving in the night scene, they are already trapped in this other reality.

Edit: for typo

Honestly, that really does seem to be Vinnie's coping mechanism. If it works, it works.

After rewatching WTTA, when they talk how they haven't seen the sun in three days, it jumps to a clip of a stormy sky...I'm willing to bet that was probably from some point before they ran into Slendy with the car.
