It's pretty hard to fuck up a release. And I seriously, seriously doubt they would've uploaded it and not expected anyone to find it. It does seem like a glimpse into the future, though...and that House of Leaves reference...maybe the alternate universe isn't off the mark...

EDIT: Oh wow. XD I was just going through the old SA forum where Slendy was created.

Evan's been part of the Mythos for a while.

I was out shopping this evening and had EMH on my mind the whole time, and I definitely just had a realization.

Some people have been throwing ideas out about time travel/alternate realities/etc, etc. Possibly about events repeating themselves, which isn't a popular theory but one I'm sure I read somewhere recently.

This got me thinking about some people mentioning how circular some things are. Like the suggestion that the guys may have been stuck in some kind of circular warping place while driving in Ashen Waste.

Circularity. Repeating events and patterns. The phrase 'all of this has happened before, and all this will happen again' comes to mind. Does anyone remember those hands wit the spirals that Damsel poster on her blog a while back? Spirals. A repeating pattern.

Then I took another look at the EMH logo itself. Four arrows. All pointing to the same place. All the roads lead to the same end.

I don't know if this means anything, but with all the talk of parallel realities and time loops, I can't help but think we're getting served Higurashi style.

First post! I've watched all the videos and read the first fifty and the last five pages of this thread. I apologize if anyone's offered already, I live about an hour and a half from Alliance, OH- the site of the Fairmount Children's Home where Dr. Corenthal used to work. I doubt there's anything out there, but I can make the journey down at some point if there's enough interest. I probably won't be able to explore the actual site- it's burned down and the ruins are privately owned, and are apparently patrolled 24/7, but I can see if anything turns up.

Also, I know that Badgerconda brought this up before- Fairmount may well be the "ashen waste". However, I know that the Fairmount story hasn't been fabricated EMH, like Badgerconda thinks it might be. I was very interested in haunted sites in Ohio about 5 years ago, and Fairmount is one of them. Of course, it could be that EMH has been planning this for 5+ years and planted that information long before the first video went up, but I doubt that.

Just got to watch the video... it further cements my opinion that Evan is the best character in anything ever Smile Took a baseball bat to Slendy, and that's only because he didn't have something sharper.

I know we have more Jersey folks in this thread, no one can make it earlier than Friday? Sad The suspense is going to be killer.

I would be able to go if I was home. Forget college, I want to look for ARG clues, damn it!

But yeah, for now it looks like we'll have to wait unless someone who got one of the last boxes is still around.

I live about about an hour away from the guys, but I lack my own car, or I'd totally make a road trip out of it...

Everyone's assuming it's a box... what if it's Dead Girl? :0

@ the small text: I really wish I could go sooner, but Friday is the earliest I can do it- I'm still in high school, and I get a lot of homework every night. And plus I'm not exactly the closest to the place. (about an hour and a half drive from where I live)

I'm just being an ass-pain. Haha.
I have no life. Embarassed I'm looking forward to this with great anticipation.
And on top of that, keeping tabs on all of this over Halloween weekend... Well... Jack Daniels and mystery-solving don't mix very well.

Highly doubt that. For one, Slendy's only been around since last year. For another, the EMH guys would have to have been around 13 or 14 five years ago. Most kids that age wouldn't be able to formulate something that complex. At least, none of the ones I've ever known. Laughing

I have a one-word response to this.
EW.

I don't have a car either, but public transportation's always been pretty easy. I went with a friend of mine to the place where the first box was left (we were too late to pick it up) and it was pretty easy getting there. We had to walk a fair bit on the trail, but it was nice. No Slender Man anywhere.

If I can borrow the "family" car (it's actually my grandmother's), I'll see about trying to get up there either tomorrow or Tuesday (provided I don't get lost and cry ;-; we lack a GPS...) and I'll definitely take piks and stuff of the location, if I can.

Bring a baseball bat.

Smile

Seriously, though, thanks. I'm really on tenterhooks over this and I can't wait to see what's in the box. When/if you recover it, make sure to document the find thoroughly.

Bring several baseball bats.

But really, whoever ends up getting out there, take lots of pictures. I'm excited.

If I go, I'll definitely bring something to defend myself, haha. I do have a T-square, at the very least. And pepper spray... And a box cutter... So I'll be fine for a few minutes, hahaha :3
