Whoa. I come home, and I have twelve pages to catch up on...

Awesome work finding the box. I'm officially terrified, because I got the Everyman tweet on my phone right as I was watching the box video and the "FEED THE HABIT" card was up. I'm glad other people got that too, I was a little freaked out there.

Other than that... holy crap. I have no idea what to think about anything, anymore. This is crazy, and awesome, and I'm totally lost.

Alright, I've typed up a transcript (with a few comments) of the letter we found in box 3, hopefully it uploads correctly.

Also, if anyone finds any errors, please point them out.


EDIT: On an unrelated note, EMH actually accepted my EverymanFORTRESS video as a response to Ashen Waste. Never thought that would actually happen.

Okay, two thoughts here. One, did anyone notice in the Ashen Waste video how the camera starts distorting when Alex shows up at the end? Makes me think something shady or weird is up with Alex. To me, he's in just as deep as they are, he's just not getting hit with any of it yet. Just thought that might be another branch to the vast, epileptic slendertree all y'all've got going down.

Second thing, towards the end of that medical report there was mention of HABIT Evan recreating the crucifixion of Jesus with a family of rabbits. I'm not one to think there's any religious aspect to the plot here, but I've got to give points for creativity to the kid, 'cause that's just damned clever. Horrific, but clever.

I enjoy the little trend here of most people mentioning where they were when the tweet hit.

I have a hard time believing any of the three guys are majorly lost in time or anything. That's a leap I am not yet prepared to make. Evan wears too many contemporary pop culture tees, has too many affinities with modern stuff - and is obviously a Freddy Krueger fan - for me to believe he is this slightly befuddled boy from the 1970s. He's too much a product of the current times. But obviously, that letter means something, either about him or someone else who is meant to reflect what he is becoming.

I do think Jeff is still the de facto leader and has been since he returned to the fold. But I find it strange he hasn't begun to tell us a thing about what we are just now apparently discovering re: Corenthal and the others.

I don't think these guys are evil dopplegangers, either.

The most unnerving question is, who sent that tweet? The stream is generally associated with Jeff, who has all but taken over it and everything else since coming back from his little trip. Did SOMETHING ELSE send the msg, or was one of the boys co-opted?

So the whole rabbit + habit thing... I'm guessing it's significant in some way with the Habit/Evan mutilating the rabbits and with that song with the rabbits.
