This reminds me of a reeeaaal creepy video I saw once of some non-English-speaking chaps busking or something on the street, and there's this Rake-like thing creeping on the guy filming... does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't find it now!

Right, but they'd already been interrogating her accusatorily a week earlier; that suggests she was already high on their suspect list.

It seems that in order to avoid a plot hole or a major handwave, Jeff had to have presented the police with something we haven't seen or heard of yet. The problem with that, as you say, is that he feels guilty about it, which suggests that any evidence he might have presented was either fake or misrepresented. That would make him not just stressed out or even crazy but actively evil and deserving to be fed to the Rake.

I guess it's also possible that Jeff tipped the cop off to the fact that Damsel is delusional enough to believe that she's being stalked by a skinny guy with no face. Them locking her up for that would still be a little bit of a plot hole, since you have to be a threat to yourself or others to get involuntarily committed, not just crazy, but I guess it's acceptable within the confines of fiction.

I hope we find out what Jeff told them. Either there's a whole 'nother line of information that's been withheld from us, or Jeff is shaping up to be a monster in his own right.

(The former is not out of the question. They still haven't shown us the journal Evan was reading in the hidden video, and they withheld the text of the Dead Girl Letter for quite some time even though we saw them take it. Hell, Vinnie's little twin brother and sister could be having their own Slendy investigation for all we know.)

 		Geez, you guys. I come home from school every day to find like 10+ pages to read xD I can barely keep up with all of you! And every theory that I think of already gets mentioned and bleh

Anyway I really like the idea of Evan and Damsel being childhood friends. Very Happy *coughEvamselcough*
And, going back into that one idea of alternate realities...I kind of like that theory, too. And, it made me think, that Dead Girl may possibly be an alternate Damsel, from the reality when she and "the others", whomever they may be, are in a much much worse situation. I'm not super gung-ho on this theory, really, but meh. Rolling Eyes
(My god, you guys post fast!)


And, not to get offtopic-ish but I drew this the other day, and thought you all might enjoy seeing it, even if it isnt too marvelous >.>

I don't think it's entirely out of the realm of possibility that Jeff's tip (whatever it was, even if it was just to say she was the last person to have seen Jessa) could have made the police evaluate her. After all, they were suspicious in the first place, the tip could have just pushed them to take her in for an evaluation.

Not quite, but I recall something similar (equally non-english) taking place on what I think might've been something like a porch.
