I'm more inclined to believe that each of the boys is the "property" of one or another eldritch horror. Vincent belongs to Slenderman, Jeff to the Rake, and Evan to something way way worse maybe? Vince seems to be the only character not directly targeted by Slenderman, and the Rake is living in Jeff's house. Maybe its a turf war over who gets to eat them.

Hey, guys, just thought of something. The "[Continue?]", it's in brackets. Another thing that was in bracket's? From Slushpops and Surprises: "[ENTER THE TRAGIC HERO AND HIS UNATTAINABLE COMPANION.]"

You are very right, Darx. I didn't even think about that for my part. I wonder who our multi-note leaver is that uses brackets? We'll have to keep an eye out for more, I suppose.

But I really don't know what to make of these letters yet, so it could just as well have been Slender Man, I guess?

In the original thread a number of the stories about him ended with the victims being found broken and contorted in trees with their intestines removed and sometimes placed into sacks nearby. That's what those bags in the joke's over video represented.

Another thing...the Tragic Hero and his 'Unnatainable Companion'. Who are they? Has this been discussed? Forgive me if it has. My mind goes immediately to Jeff and his lady but...who else would it be?

Also, I'm not sold on the time travel thing yet. We'll see how that goes. It's been established that Slenderman can warp time to some degree...or cause time loss or...y'know. Something along those lines. Lack of time and logic perception is sort of a running thing here, especially in that Box letter.

Yeah, I know, it just seems somehow...not Slender Man-related for Vincent's parents to have found the body of the Reverend like that inside of his house, combined with the same marks on his dog that we've attributed to the Rake before.

I don't want it to be Slender Man because it's a lot less creepy without the forest imagery

edit: Not that that letter wasn't really creepy, because it was.

Still I don't think they'd have him say the Man didn't like to share if it wasn't him. There's very little about the rake I would say is person like while SM at least has a facsimile of the human form.

It could also be that the full display is used for important targets or ones he chooses. Those who simply get in the way are gutted without any fanfare.

Unless the Slenderman and Rake have a connection...or former connection, as has been implied before. Then the 'Man' could be the agent of delivery, but the Rake is the method of execution.

Soooo...what are the chances that one of the PMs is a Michael Moorcock fan?

Possible depending on whether the woman was a Rake victim or a suicide. I really think this Vince's history was fully Slender Man given that disembowling is a hallmark of him while I don't think the creepypasta for the rake had any method of killing mentioned.

This is true. The Man is definitely talking about Slender Man, so it does make more sense if it was him who killed the Reverend - the Rake could also be "working for" Slender Man, I guess. It seems weird to have included the bit about the dog's scratches if we weren't supposed to make the connection between them and what's happening to Sparky. Maybe Slender Man and the Rake were involved.

Freakin' frack, this is insanely awesome. You guys have covered most of my thoughts already, with only one thing to add...

Evisceration doesn't seem to be Slendy's style. it seems more like the realm of either the Rake, or HABIT. What if CaptainHABITEvan was the one who gutted the priest, maybe under a Slender influence?

That had just crossed my mind. We really have no idea what their respons to each other would be. We do know that the Rake was present in the ark, but did Slender Man appear in there in any fashion?

Would you mind explaining that? I don't recall reading anything by Michael Moorcock.

Well, I'm a bit late of off of topic now, but here's the analysis of Damsel's songs I promised on page 356. Feel free to ignore this for now, lmao. Really long, making it tiny.

The Temptations - I wish it would rain
This one is a normal "my girl found another guy and now I'm sad" song. Narrator wants it to rain because it'll hide his tears. I want to say it's a reference to Jeff and Jessa, but that would mean Jessa left him for Slendy, and no matter how funny that sounds it's never gonna be canon, lmao.

Pixies- Gouge Away
Even the title of this one makes me think of Slendy. Good or bad sign?
Anyway. This one does have a reference to Slendy's tentacles, it seems ("I break the walls/and kill us all/with holy fingers") but the rest seems to be a referring to, oddly enough, Samson and Delilah- for those who don't know the story, God gave Samson super strength but he couldn't do certain things, one of which was cutting his hair. He fell in love with a chick named Delilah, she cut his hair while he slept and gave him over to the enemies. They gouged his eyes out, but once his hair grew back he killed them all (and maybe himself- I don't remember how that went).

Beatles- A Day in the Life
This one's obviously referencing that the guys had a video called Day in the Life- I don't think there would be any other meaning in it. Although there is one part that takes my interests- "A crowd of people stood and stared/They'd seen his face before/Nobody was really sure/If he was from the House of Lords".

Here Comes The Snake - Cherry Poppin' Daddies
Definetely about Slendy. That or sex. Probably Slendy. Also contains foreshadowing for Damsel being locked up- "He's like a jail and you need an escape/Want you to come get a file in your cake".

Eisley - Invasion
This song is...interesting. What should I make of this. All of it reeks suspicion of things. Take a look yourselves.

Santana - Put Your Lights On [TheWraith]
This one's obviously about Jake the Rake there ("Hey now, all you children/Leave your lights on, you better leave your lights on/Cause there's a monster living under my bed/Whispering in my ear"). I fear for Alex. The lyrics also say "There's an angel, with a hand on my head/She say I've got nothing to fear" and "I still got a purpose to serve". Evan/HABIT?

Zombie Girl - The Darkness
Possibly about that "ARK is an alternate universe" theory. "There's nowhere to go now/Trapped in this world, you're lost forever". Also says "There's nobody here to save you", which quite frankly makes me sad.

Gorillaz - To Binge Official Video
Basically about wanting somebody to rely on. Guessing it's about Jessa and Damsel's friendship- "You're by my side, but are you still with me?"/"Have to tell you that I love you so much these days, it's true".

Ok Go - This Too Shall Pass with Lyrics
I believe this was when she was just feeling better, hanging out with Jessa and such. Possibly contains a reference to the boys too-"'Cause when your mind don't move then your knees don't bend/But don't go blaming the kids again".

Alone Down There- Modest Mouse
This one is interesting. Damsel on Jessa, again, I think, but with a very sinister twist. As if they're both damned, in a sense, by Slendy. The "devil's apprentice" line makes me think of Rake, but Damsel doesn't really know about him, does she?

Beatles- I've Just Seen A Face
Title reminds me of Slendy again, although he doesn't have a face. Huh.
Anyway, standard love song about a guy and a girl, and how she's different from the others and keeps him going. More of Damsel and Jessa's Romantic Two Girl Friendship, I assume.

The Toasters - mr.trouble.
This song is really odd and illogical so I'm linking the lyrics again, right here. More references to Slendy and foreshadowing for Damsel locked up.

Poets of the Fall - The Poet And The Muse
This is about a guy who's girlfriend drowns and now he needs to find a witch who can bring her back. Seconding a guy from awhile back who said it's about how Jeff needs Damsel's help to find Jessa- she knows something they don't.

The White Stripes - Little Cream Soda
Another really illogical one. Just seems to be Damsel venting a bit. Lyrics.

Gorillaz - #8 Glitter Freeze
The lyrics for this one are really short and again, I have no clue what they're about. Just reprinting them here:

Quote:
Where's north from 'ere?
It was the Glitter Freeze
Doctor here, listen
You want them credits
I believe ay
Ahahahaha
Ship him far

Doctor = Corenthal?

Flogging Molly - The Story So Far
Damsel on her life, it seems. Musing about everything she's gotten and lost. Of the most note: "So burn with the fire/You so eagarly lit" and "I don't care what I lost/I just thank god I'm alive". Also references pills and battling something.

The Vincent Black Shadow - "Metro"
Standard "Slendy is following me" song, but like somebody else mentioned, it has an ominous lyric at the end: "Now he's back again/And now he's brought a friend/And his friend's brought a whole dark army...". Slendy is back, brings the boys, they bring Rake/HABIT/etc?

Dosed- RHCP (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Another odd one, so lyrics here. Seems to be referencing Jeff and Jessa again- but why would Damsel want Jeff dead?

The Toadies - Possum Kingdom
It's a cheesy love song! ...No...really. At least that's what the lyrics point to. That and sex. Maybe even rape. I don't know, maybe Damsel wants a boyfriend. Or really, really likes Jessa.

The Decemberists' "The Mariner's Revenge Song"
See my reply to Didz some pages ago.

Anna Ternheim - No, I Don't Remember (unplugged)
This song is really pretty....um, right. Seems to be more of her missing Jessa. The title reminds me of the whole "Slendy steals your memories" thing.

My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words (Video)
UGH MCR WHY DOES SHE EVEN LIKE- um, right again. This song is basically about somebody wanting somebody to stay with them, but also being "not afraid to walk this world alone". It also says "Nothing you can say can stop me going home"- did she want to go back to Alabama, but couldn't because of Slendy?

The Weakerthans - (Hospital Vespers)/(Manifest) Video
Got two songs from this. (Hospital Vespers) is about somebody visiting somebody else in a hospital or maybe mental hospital, and blocking the security camera for them so nobody will see them pray. Hmm. (Manifest) is a bit odd, so again, the lyrics are right here. Thinking this is on Jessa yet again. Damsel really did miss her.

My Chemical Romance The Sharpest Lives
God, not again....but anyway. There's a lot to note in this one. "You're the one that I need, I'm the one that you loathe"- a reference to Jeff, and how they need to work together to find Jessa. "so bright the sun is ashamed to rise and be"- WttA, when the sun apparently hadn't risen for three days. "Drop the dagger and lather the blood on your hands, Romeo"- probably a reference to Evan, and maybe showing that she was aware of his (presumed) infatuation with her.

RHCP - Don't forget me
The title of this one is so Harsh in Hindsight. So very harsh.
This one has some things. "More will be revealed my friend". "I'm an inbred and a pothead"- HYBRID? "Teach you how to dance/Inside the funny farm"- more foreshadowing of her in the mental ward. It's as if she knew what was going to happen to her.

And that's it. If anyone wants anything more, I'll be happy to find things.
