Freakin' frack, this is insanely awesome. You guys have covered most of my thoughts already, with only one thing to add...

Evisceration doesn't seem to be Slendy's style. it seems more like the realm of either the Rake, or HABIT. What if CaptainHABITEvan was the one who gutted the priest, maybe under a Slender influence?

Evisceration is totally Slendy's style. Many of the stories involving Slendy have disemboweling as a key feature of victims that are found.

Just thought I'd throw that out there, in the original The Rake /x/ thread, someone mentioned that it could be called "The Rake" because a rake scoops away dead leaves; maybe The Rake kills those who're soon going to die.

Still I don't think they'd have him say the Man didn't like to share if it wasn't him. There's very little about the rake I would say is person like while SM at least has a facsimile of the human form.

Soooo...what are the chances that one of the PMs is a Michael Moorcock fan?

Sorry, don't see the connection. What i do see is

Quote:
"In every aspect, the Champion is a warrior almost without peer: when he wields some version of his usual weapon, the Black Sword (known by various names such as Stormbringer or Kanajana, although not all versions of the Sword are the same and some are active entities in their own right) few can stand against him. He is also usually an adept, if often unwilling, leader of fighters and has strategic and tactical abilities."

No..just......NO

First things first...FANTASTIC work, Volcanic. I love the song comparisons, already blew through and now going back over.

I don't buy the Michael Moorcock thing. Seems too hokey. But we'll see, eh?

Candle Cove is another Creepy Pasta that they just had a little tounge-and-cheek reference to.

I have no idea what Caslania is. I don't recall seeing anyone say anything about it. If you mean Centralia, it's the place that inspired Silent Hill and is evidently the place where HABIT-Evan and Man-Vince were born.

Damsel was a girl on Tumblr who stalked the crew, and then when Jessa disappeared they blamed her and the cops tossed her in jail because she had a bunch of fucked up shit in her house, and they suspect she killed her parents when she was young aswell.

You're not following too closely, are you?

Damsel is the person behind http://canyouseethewords.com/ . At the moment she is in a mental ward because Jeff apparently told the police -something- about her. She knows about the crew and has tools to help...but can't.

Centralia is a possible 'Land of Ashen Waste' and is in the center of all the directions they've gone so far. We've also drawn comparisons that the 'Center' of the EverymanHYBRID logo could represent Centralia.

Candle Cove is a creepypasta/story from the internet of a kid's show that people thought existed...but it actually didn't. Good read, I suggest you look it up.

There you are, all caught up. Try reading back though!

Edit: Well, I caught some things and Grim caught some things. That works!

I'm still trying to process this all in my head. One minor theory, though: This was not marked "x/7" because it was not taken from the EH crew, but rather it was (likely) Linnie's travel pack. But this brings to mind a strange fact- those coordinates were a couple hundred miles from the body the guys found in Lambertville. If that body was Linnie, did she simply accidentally drop her pack in the middle of a park on her way to Jersey... or was it placed there?

Also, the logo on that bag is ringing a bell somewhere. I think it's a Pennsylvania college sports team... maybe Penn State or University of Pittsburgh?

I was wondering about that myself, Wolf. Who DID put it there if it didn't have the 4/7 marked sheet in there? It has the purple duct tape but...why? Where did it come from? I'm not even sure now!

Would you mind explaining that? I don't recall reading anything by Michael Moorcock.

The possibly relevant idea from the Eternal Champion thing is that in every age there is a handful of recurring individuals, usually having a similar name in each occurrence. In each age, each of these individuals plays over and over again the same role in a great struggle. This would explain how our Hybrids currently appear to have been children in the 1970s and 20-somethings in 2010--they're just different instances of the same phenomenon. Of course, this would make them every bit as preternatural as Slenders and the Rake, which is unsatisfying; on the plus side, it would explain the mystery of why none of them appear to have parents. Very Happy

It is cheesy as hell, but I'm not sure it's any cheesier than time travel or safe houses in alternate dimensions. However this thing wraps up, I'm afraid it's going to be dripping with some variety of cheese.

Jeff has a brother, though...You'd think that a brother would mean a family. For that matter, weren't there Twitter messages about his folks, when he went on his sabbatical?

Ilikeike, the information's all throughout the topic, and at the EverymanWiki. If you are confused, you can always check there for the new additions! Very Happy

Good on you, Volcanic...I think I'm going to go back through Damsel's blog and make a playlist, for future reference. To Youtube!

That reminds me of something...like a TV show or book or something.

Oh! LoZ games! They have reincarnations of Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, as well as other characters. Considering the dark references by the EMH crew, I doubt they would reference something so tame. My vote is on Mattwan's description.

...just saying.

I'm just going through the videos now, and I've noticed some non-Youtube music links. I'm just cataloguing at the moment, but does someone want to check these out?

Plural for Sheep - The Sunstreak

http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/t/the_sunstreak/plural_for_sheep.html

EDIT: For The Pixies song, she's quoted this:

sleeping on your belly
you break my arms
you spoon my eyes
been rubbing a bad charm
with holy fingers
