DER grossman, right! Durr!

Do let us know what they say if they get back to you! This is all pretty damned exciting! O_O" I hope that they send wristbands out of the country... maybe that's not as "OMFG AN ARG!" as getting a mysterious box, but having 'the wristbands would be a cool in-person treat!

Well, they need 100 people. When I asked them like a week ago, they still had some left. So I guess we should "spread the word"/ make our friends addicted to this.

Freaking awesome! Congrats on the find.

It's looking like I will be in north DE frequently in late July/early August, so I am willing to make trips to NJ as necessary, even if I have proved to be a failure at finding things, hahah.

This is all so exciting!

It's interesting that it was in the garbage bag. One would think a trash collector would pick it up and throwing it away. It's been there for a few days now. Where I'm from, usually garbage doesn't last for more than a day or two at most. Maybe during the night they go back and it pick it up, and then replace it the following day.

It wasn't in a garbage bag, it was in a small Glad Ziploc Bag that was hidden behind the guard rail. It was too small for anyone to really notice.

About the German, according to the original Slenderman mythos the earlyest recorded evidence of Slenderman comes from a german woodcutter by the name of Hans Freckenberg in 1540.

This link leads to a message board post containing the first example of ther story:
http://www.slendernation.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sm2&action=display&thread=30&page=3

Here is the second, also by Hans Freckenberg:
http://www.slendernation.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sm2&action=display&thread=30&page=4

Hans disappeared shortly after these were compleated (1543,) as did the whole of the population in the area where he resided.

I know me some slender-mythos.

That's actually entirely fictional, if you didn't know. None of that stuff actually existed.

... Of course I know it's not real. Hence the word mythos, meaning that it is a myth. You'll also notice that slenderman himself is not real. He is in fact an established supernatural character used within dozens of stories, some agreeing with each other some not. This makes him a mythological character, much like H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu. There's a lot of inter-textual borrowing and communication among myths. Part of the fun is to figure out which stories the author or authors of the myth considered cannon.

Also, you're a duche.
