Yeah, I noticed it. The boys did their research when writing those papers.

Gotta say... seeing Jeff's despair, when cut together with those silent clips of Jeff + Jessa.

Heartbreaking.

"Ashland," the town mentioned in the last Corenthal papers that were found, the ones that mentioned Candle Cove and Vinnie and Reverend Green?

Problem? There's an Ashland, Ohio, less than 100 miles from the Alliance, Ohio children's home where Dr. Corenthal worked.

The new video just enforces my idea of this whole thing taking place in Silent Hill.

From the second report:

Quote:
We are dealing with much more stress and trauma then we are currently outfitted for. Obviously, the investigation is continuing, but I do not believe that it is very wise at all to accept both patients from that town of ash. The symbolism is almost too fitting.

Also guys I just want to take a moment here that I think it's so great that when a video comes out, a group of followers are all on their computers at the same time franticly posting and researching, figuring things out, posting their theories.

I just get this mental image of a bunch of strangers from across the nation all at their computers at the same time, like something out of a movie where the screen is split up into many screens where all the screens depict a different person at their computer, typing and clicking away.

Sentimental nonsense aside, Evan and Vince of the reports are probably from Centralia.

There was mention of a "cove" in the second set of reports from Dr. Corenthal, referencing a "Vincent" who was molested by a Reverend. Most people assume that the cove in question is a reference to Candle Cove.

That didn't sound creepy, did it?

But, yes, I agree, the Corenthal's Evan & Vince almost certainly are from Centralia.

Don't forget about the bit about playing pirates!

Yeah, butt pirates if the molestation was as severe as the papers made it out to be.

Well, damn. Looks like we were right about Centralia....

One thing that struck me... there's a certain.. focus on Evan, during the run-of-weird, and after. if he is HABIT (whatever that means), maybe he/HABIT is an old enemy of Slenderman's.... that's why Evan was the first to recognize that it was legit Slendermalarky happening, and not a prank, and why he's always wanted to kill the thing.

I'm just spitballing here, but maybe Evan is either a constantly reincarnated Slendernemesis, or a particular force that jumps from person to person between generations? like a symbiont, or a parasite. and it continually tries to defeat Slendy? I don't know. Time traveller is possible too, but probably one of my less-favorite theories.

I'm really just rambling, but hot-damn, that video was AWESOME. The scene with Jessa and Jeff really broke my heart. I really hope we get to see the rest of what happened during that hike of theirs at some point... I still think Evan staring at that -really- weird tree during the hike has some significance.

Haven't you learned by now that there is no such thing as coincidence in EMH?

OK. It's about time I finally come out of hiding. Twisted Evil

I'm the guy that ChildOfAtom has sent to go and check out what became The Bag. Fortunately / unfortunately, I stayed up late watching a certain set of videos, reading a certain forum (ahem), and the wiki. Thought, I never quite finished. So I got to The Bag a bit late and only wound up with a big wad of magical Purple Tape. Laughing (None of it had any markings, btw.)

Some comments on the Centralia video since I know the area pretty well. I've been there a few times in the past year and have a geocache there. It's relatively safe. Yes, there is a fire and steam vents and all that, but the likelihood of the ground caving in on you is IMO, slender. heh.

This was most definitely NOT filmed today. Rain started last night and went all day.

0:00 - Ashland - this is the town just to the south, you make a right on to RT 61 in the western half of town to head north to Centralia. The abandoned highway they walked on with the graffiti aka Graffiti Highway, is the original RT 61. They diverted the highway around this section for obvious reasons which you can see in the video. The new road goes right through the former town of Byrnesville, which is also a ghost town (zero structures remain), and lies directly between Centralia to the N and Ashland to the S.

0:18 - What's in that notebook?

0:22 - Yes this is the same mound that someone posted a google maps link to. There is a similar mound on the other side of the closed section of road. Looks like this is the southern end of the closed road.

*The graffiti constantly changes and evolves here. Often.

1:33 - This graffiti vaguely sounds familiar, so I think it was there... But also seems to tie in...

1:41 - This graffiti looks new, but I can't tell you for sure whether EMH added it or not. Seems a rather nice tie in. Or lucky find.

2:22 - "A + S" Looks very new.

2:42 - Rocky area. This is to the north of that highway. Drive on the RT61 bypass N. pull to the left side at the obvious place or drive on the Park Rd. or nearby and walk south. There is a geocache near there.

2:58 - Greener woods and trail. I don't immediately recognize this as anywhere in Centralia. Who is that?

3:00 - This is the mountain to the N of Centraila. It has windmills (seen clearer at 3:09). The Orthodox church that appears amongst the trees a sec later has a geocache in the cemetery.

Segments in the greener trail bits - first one person, then a group. Can't make them out though.

3:39 - dying to know what this amulet says and of course that paper (probably the "f'in puzzle" he shouts out there)

3:45 - who can read lips?

4:02 - Purple tape! Is this tree in Centralia? Is that Bag II? I have no clue...

4:16 - This does not look like any part of Centralia that I have ever seen. Wonder if that tree is significant...
