 		Judging by what happened in Cops Checked, I don't think the Rake makes its victims disappear. I think it just brutally murders them and leaves the corpses. And judging by its tendency to do so dramatically, I don't think Alex is going to come out of this at all well. He needs to burn that house to the ground and get out of there.

 		Hm.... Alex mentions a 'terrible stench'..... is that anywhere in the Rake lore? I don't seem to recall ever seeing it.... sitting at the foot of the bed being creepy is definitely a rakey thing to do, though...

I would think that a creepy, naked, wet monster who hangs out in the woods all day (and prolly doesn't wipe) smells pretty bad.

Well, first off, it could just be that the Rake stinks. I mean, it lives behind walls and out in the woods most of the time, for heaven's sake. Alternatively, he could simply take the terrible stench as being the stench of lots of blood. Or hell, maybe it's the stench of the exterminator's body, wherever it's being hidden, and depending on how long it'd take for such a stench to get around through that ventilation system. It's not gonna be rotting yet, but still- it's gonna stink. If the Rake can fit in there, then the exterminator, who'd be required to fit into such places, might be able to too. Or whatever's left of him.

Also The Rake doesn't leave a stench in its wake. The only creature I remember that leaves a horrible smell is The Seed Eater.
