Going back to the letters and the constant quote talking about God making a parallel universe, maybe it's not so much an issue of time travel as it is two different time lines. One in 1971 in that dimension where they are all children from Centralia, and this one where those memories and demons are starting to bleed through. Maybe the house 78of76.avi was a kind of hole in dimensions that they weren't supposed to crack wide open like that?

The ball from the latest video...could that be somehow related? I know we figured it was related more to the 'sing along' part, but it could have a secondary meaning. I think the pinball metaphor is the most likely one out of the possible TILT meanings.

I would think from that shot of Sparky on the stairs- maybe Alex is dead but not Sparky? I know you guys are saying Sparky is his line of defense but for some reason I can't see her dead. Maybe the Rake broke through the closet(!) while she was outside the door like Alex said, and that scene of her on the stairs his her leading whoever has the camera up to a wounded/dead Alex. Or something.

Rewatching Slushpops and Surprises right now and honestly it looks like the Tragic Hero and his Companion are Evan and Damsel. Remember how the coordinates they found were also sent to Damsel? Plus there's the fact that Evan uploaded the video.

But yeah, maybe we were trying to force the "machine" (the story) too hard, and caused the very unfavorable ending we were trying to prevent?
