To be somewhat more on-topic for just a sec, I'd argue that we might not have parsed our hidden message sufficiently. On the other hand, I might be suffering from the first stages of Slendersickness myself, with the associated obsession for codes.

My initial assumption was the message was there the whole time, and only once our madness advanced sufficiently that we were able to grasp the first sentence of the words. On the other hand, the guys are suitably tech savvy, and the time stamp of the upload is relatively easy to find. Combined with the ease of "hacking" that has been observed in the other related materials, I would say that we're looking at something similar here.

That said, this message, while certainly unsettling, does not seem malicious. We're being targeted, and knowing about it may give us the tools to do something about it. On the other hand, it could be designed specifically to create and spread further fear and paranoia which tall and faceless seems to rather enjoy.

In either case, the implication seems to be that the search is now in our hands. Or at the very least, out of the crews (which feeds into my theory that all three are currently disabled). I'd guess a new message of some sort will likely send us on a search for the next geocache, but we may be looking at something more intense.

Or I may just be rambling, that always remains a possible answer.
