"i" is a stupid kid who unfortunately picked on a co-worker with the slightest bit of admin control on the network. He wont be seeing any internet not related to work for some time.

If you use numbers on the musical scale (a-g), 1 and 8 are the same letters (An octave). Hence, every 1=8 in notes and every 2=9. Hence, 16180339=caccbeedd (or other combinations depending upon which letters you start with.

The word "poppeteers" follows this pattern except for the "e" between "popp" and "teer" and the final "s". So, poppeteers could be written using numbers 1618(E)0339(S!). "Rocket" would be 96 (CK) 30.

I'm just thinking right now, but wanted to let everyone know my thoughts. Maybe 96.30.1618.0339 is our ip? Or my missing numbers can be translated into something else...

and what about E 6425 K can you fit that in?

Your friendly neighborhood Game Warden is keeping an eye on guest posts. Be sure to treat guests replying to guests with the utmost skepticism folks. If there's something fishy (pun intended) about it, you can be sure I'll be bringing it to your attention.

I hate to keep throwing speculation into the mix, since that just adds to the confusion. So, I wanted to ask about the newspaper pages first before I make any comments.

If the pages are made for the game, and not really from any existing newspaper, past or present, then the other articles that we see portions of, are also fictional and produced by the people running the game, correct?

So it's safe to assume anything on those two pages could possibly be clues also, yes?

The article about the hydroponic gardening system keeps popping into my mind. From what I understand, the Golden ratio is present in flora and fauna. This seems like a clue.

I know we're all assuming the plot of the movie surrounds aliens and such, but does anyone know if the facilities at Area 51 may have done more terrestrial experiments? Like genetics, or anything having to do with hybrid plants?

Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather see aliens ripping people apart, then a "Day of the Triffids" remake.

Could we somehow apply the golden/phi proportions to the Rocket Poppeteers graphic? I wouldn't know were to begin with doing that. Maybe use the phimatrix.com demo mentioned earlier?

it's the same thing.

The Golden Triangle recursively recreates itself spiralling inward and every point of recreation is traversed by the equiangular spiral also known as the logrithmic spiral. From Bernoulli (1654-1705) we get the phrase "Eadem mutata resurgo" ("I shall arise the same, though changed.")

EDIT: It points to the dark shaded area around coops elbow, just above the left hand side of the K.
