And here's the obligatory group shot.

No, it's definitely not necessary, but hey, I don't see any problem with it. After all, those who played The Beast called themselves Cloudmakers.

I'm fairly fond of Recognizers out of the suggestions that have been brought to the table.

It looks like the majority like the grid bugs and I am on board with that too.

Jeez, Clu! 16 posts and almost all of 'em have been gold!
Well made model of a gridbug. Maybe a half dozen or so scuttling across the floor (like in the group photo) and the floor consists of the Flynn Lives logo at a 3/4 perspective.
Or maybe they are spray painting the graffiti "Flynn Lives" (like on the Tron: Legacy billboard) on the floor out of the light-emitters on their heads.
Or maybe it's past my bedtime and I'm making up crazy stuff cuz I'm tired. Confused
Forget all that crazy stuff, that's a very cool picture!

Holy $#*&!!! That's pretty frickin' awesome! Niiiice!

That's almost perfect for a shirt. I think I was wrong about the 3/4 perspective though, at least for a shirt. I know you can't do the gridbugs from directly overhead (like the Flynn Lives logo normally is) without losing the 3D effect of the bugs. Maybe overhead but tilted down slightly like it's on a table you're seated at?

This one is perfect for wallpaper though! Love it! Sweet job man!

EDIT: Now adorning my desktops wallpaper. Absolutely terrific. Mr. Green

Wow, Clu!

Great job!
I've been lurking because I hadn't made up my mind about what i thought might be apt... but that pic makes me like Grid Bugs.

Ditto that. I'm happy just considering myself a "player"* of this ARG.

*I use "player" in the sense that I'm a person playing a game, not in the street talk sense of the word (i.e. "He's a true playa" "Don't be a playa hater") - I'm not that douchey.

Just amusing and keeping ourselves busy until 42E hits us with the good stuff. You don't have to play with us if you don't want to. Catfight! (Just teasing!)

My one distaste for Grid Bugs is that they were a threat to Flynn, not his friend. Bit like Lassie fans calling themselves Fleas. Dunno

That's a fair point. To be devil's advocate... for all we know we could be a threat to Flynn... maybe he doesn't want to be found?

What I wanna know is... why didn't "Users" stick? Wouldn't that be more appropriate in context to the ARG? I only saw one person suggest it, and it never even got another mention...

It's been a few years since I watched the original, but didn't they refer to people in the real world as such? "Users" and "Programs"?
Please correct me if I'm wrong...

I like Users. I like FLOps a lot too. That one was innovative.
One of the reasons I like Grid Bugs is because it painted us as a kind of fly in Encoms soup. I bug in their program. Lassie didn't have an Encom... just poor Timmy and his broken legs and getting stuck in wells. Smile
That and I think Grid Bugs make for some potentially great graphics, as Clu has illustrated.
Actually, like I said before, I don't think this whole thing is necessarily terribly important. Just something to keep us busy for a little while.
If anyone has any other suggestions for names or wants to make a case for another one, I'm all ears. (Get it? Van Gogh? Ears? ~sigh~) If it's decided to maybe vote for one and make it semi-official, I'm all for that too. The play is the thing for me. Wink
