"Deals" on DisneyStore.com?

Wednesday night…

It appears that the core figure vehicles are selling for $4.50 each at DisneyStore.com:

Light Runner: http://www.disneystore.com/tron-legacy-light-runner-vehicle/mp/1272064/1000268/

Sam Flynn Deluxe Light Cycle: http://www.disneystore.com/tron-legacy-deluxe-light-cycle-sam-flynn-vehicle/mp/1271726/1000268/

Kevin Flynn Light Cycle: http://www.disneystore.com/tron-legacy-light-cycle-kevin-flynn-vehicle/mp/1271734/1000268/

Seems to be an error (these prices were probably meant to be for the diecast toys), but I tried my luck putting an order, as a Guest, and it went through. We'll see what happens and if DisneyStore.com will send the same merch advertised on the site pages Smile

Also, free shipping on DisneyStore.com with the promo code: "MAGIC".

---

Sidenote… TRUs around the Los Angeles area have been well-stocked for the last few weeks, I've gotten all the core vehicles, diecast toys, a few figures, and both Air Hog light cycles, which work better than I expected, depending on the surfaces. Though, I do wish they weren't so wide; I guess they're almost "chibi" like, haha Razz

I ordered a couple of items from Walmart online and with their ship to store it makes the free Shipping but still pay tax (though longer wait is a con).

The Walmart.com ship to store is glacial. To get what should be normal shipment times you have to pay that bribe... extortion... I mean 'express fee'. I worked logistics in retail, and have worked for more than one retailer. They could move the product to a store in a week tops if they wanted to. They could express it in ~2 days. The only savior of that order system is some of the dirt cheap prices you can get on some items not stocked in the store, or even some that are just cheaper than when bought as in store stock.

Figures the person at a comic book store is the only one with a 'clu' about Tron.

well since I am getting my son the Recognizer playset for his birthday in November I was okay with the slow delivery of ship to store. plus the $5 ecard for future purchase was nice. I also picked up a deluxe disk(which came with the $5ecard also) for myself but wasn't hard over getting in a hurry. I am hoping the deluxe lightcycle and lightrunner come back in stock soon as they also have the $5ecard. once I get them I will almost have the 12" figure paid for.

My friend picked up an 89 forever hat for me from D-Street. It's a 'promo' hat because they're still deciding if it will be manufactured. Unfortunately, the only size they make it 7 1/4. I will stick up a photo soon.

I just ordered the items from Disney Store too. I would think they have to honor it if that is what the reciept states. Here's hoping!

I just picked up the light cycle ornament at Hallmark today. Very cool.

Just a heads up, today and tomorrow at most Hallmark stores is the 2010 Christmas Ornament Premier Weekend. You get 20% off all ornaments, so this is the weekend to get your light cycle or 2.

Thanks for the heads-up blink Very Happy
For UK/Euro buyers this is still a good purchase as international Shipping & Handling was $19.95 for the 3 items.
The Light Runner is the die-cast at 3.5 inches long.
Sam Flynn Deluxe Light Cycle,Kevin Flynn Light Cycle and the Light Runner with Shipping & Handling cost about £21.00 in total.
For some odd reason Disney Store dont except non US Paypal accounts so i had to use my credit card instead Rolling Eyes
Also the links to Disney store might re-direct you to the Tronless UK Disney store,so do a Google search for the US Disney store.
Ive just got two emails, the package is on its way and UPS tracking details,so with luck itll be whats been advertised.

i'm curious which one those of you that ordered from the disney store will receive. Smile keep us posted.

as i've heard, clu's deluxe light cycle is supposed to be a walmart exclusive. it was nonexistent in one location, and mixed and tucked around iron man merchandise in another. the employee i spoke to had no idea what it was and asked if it was like iron man. that's how i found the boxes mixed in various locations in the aisle -not in one spot. she said they just got them in. the boxes there were a bit worn or messed on the outside -with that yellow and black corner sticker missing on a few up. your mileage may vary but that was my experience with that one.

I've been looking through the thread, but my apologies if I missed the information I'm about to ask about!

Does anyone have knowledge of confirmed sightings of any merchandise in Australia?
All our Disney stores closed years ago Sad
I haven't been to Target yet... that's the next step.
The most annoying thing though is that Toys r Us have the products listed on their files but haven't bothered ordering any.
I got asked if it was a boy movie and waved off to a section I'd already checked, and after I pushed further they checked the computer and said that although they have the option to get the products they probably won't bother *facepalm*

Nope, but I rang up Toys R Us, they checked for me but said they didn't have any, as they "usually don't get the merchandise till after the movie is out"
But props to the guy answering the phone for knowing what Tron was...

And I've checked a few Targets but nothing yet.
I'd say wait closer to the release date of the movie. October is too early.

we can always buy them here and ship them over. Shipping won't be too cheap, but maybe it's worth it.
