those headphones do look quite impressive, but being from Bose you know (pretty sure we've seen a price estimate already) they're gonna be some big coin. personally I'd love to have the Data Disk iPod Docking Station, I know it'll be a lot though.

I think they're made by Monster Cable actually, which I heard are even MORE notorious for their ridiculous pricing for average products.
I was thinking of getting them, until I saw this video:

YouTube: Link

The plastic looks terrible, not all nice and shiny like in the picture I posted before, and of course I don't know how the sound is like either (if anyone got to try them on I'd love to hear about it! Smile )

And then to kick me in the guts even more, they're $350. Yikes!
The Data Disk iPod Docking Station is ~$300, and also made by Monster Cable. It does look incredibly sweet, though.

I'm really disappointed they went with Monster, their quality is so suspect for premium priced items. Especially the stuff they branched out into like headphones, ipod docks, etc. And don't get me started with the cables.

Twisted Evil Perhaps we'll see lightcycles with gold-plated rims? The gold makes them faster, donchano?

I don't think they "went" with Monster, per se. Monster probably just approached them with the design and asked if they could license the TRON name.

Shocked sweet mother of Tron...... Rock On wonder what stores the comic books will be sold in? Only know of one conventional comic book shop in my area, wonder if Borders and the like will carry them?

Not sure if exclusives are wanted here, but I have two items from SDCC 2010:

The vintage Figure (shown lit) and Sam's Lightcycle from my SDCC Tron Gallery - which has more shots and unboxed/unboxing shots:

New hard cover book coming out, the art of Tron.

Quote:
Justin Springer Discover the sci-fi magic behind Tron: Legacy in this beautifully designed book that looks at both the production and art of the soon-to-be hit film The Art of Tron: Legacy takes fans inside the art and design of the upcoming film. The book showcases beautiful concept illustrations, set designs, character bios, images from the film, and an afterword by the film's director, Joseph Kosinski.

Originally that book was to include content for the original film. Hope that hasn't changed.

Didn't see this posted. It's the merch/price/retailer list:

https://enterpriseportal.disney.com/gopublish/sitemedia/dcp/Home/Press%20Room/Press%20Releases/TRON_Product_Fact_Sheet_Comic_Con_2010_FINAL.pdf

The keyboard's pricey, but I'd love to get those DP Kubricks! And good news about those discs! Laughing

Must get my hands on that "Good vs. Evil" die cast set from Toys 'R' US, the deluxe identity disk and the iphone/ipod touch case! The identity disk ipod dock would be nice...maybe I'll snag it off of ebay. People are bound to have like 15 of them and sell them all in one lot! (sarcastic nod to the ARG coin fiasco)

Wondering if anyone at Comic Con got to or even try the Tron headphones out?

If you did, care to share any details? Smile

First post!

I got to check them out while I was at the End of Line club. There was a guy wearing a Monster branded shirt there, who had a set of headphones hooked up to an ipod. It was playing some techno music (not my taste in music, but appropriate considering the location), and they definitely sounded great. Even in the club, with all the other music and ambient noise, I could hear through them very well. He spat some audiophile jargon at me that flew completely over my head, but one thing he did mention is that the lights would pulse to the beat of whatever you had playing (i.e. video games, music, etc.). I don't know if I could part with the $300 bucks for them, but they do have some ear phones as well coming out around $79 he said. Of course that might change, but he said that Disney wanted a pair in the "under $100" range.
