The reason for this (same with the Rinzler and Kevin Flynn discs) is that you don't have to pay the actors if their face doesn't appear on the package. There was a big case when the Spiderman movie toys came out.

I'm checking stores every few days here in Ohio, so I'll report as soon as wave 2 hits. They don't sell out here in Dayton... They had moved all the Tron stuff to the front for the weekend 25% off all Tron stuff sale, though

I probably could wait on getting the belt Han Cholo buckles (the Tron logo and the light cycle, I saw 2 disc ones but they weren't at nice) but Disney is hard to peg with sales. D Street may put the tron stuff on sale later but if you have an AP you will want to buy now with your 20% holiday discount.

TBH i would trade anything tron related or not (ideally something you cant get at a normal store.... ideally of similar value, but at this point its going to sit in it packaging till...sooooo)
make an offer worst that can happen is i say no.

It's most likely NOT that the actor doesn't want an action figure of themselves, but rather, that Disney/Spinmaster/etc. would have to pay royalties/fees/etc. to the actor to use their likeness.

Ergo, not using their face = less money spent.

It's just as well; Given what the others came out looking like. I'd hate to lift the visor, hoping to see one of the more appealing visuals in the film and be met with Roseanne Barr's mug.

I really don't think royalty issues are entirely behind this. It seems much more clear that they know it's hard to peg a likeness at this scale, and c'mon, Sam and Flynn don't look exactly spot on now do they? Plus you HAVE to remember this is a TOY line meant to be played with. She's meant to go in the Light Runner, in which she does wear her helmet. And if you're making battle scenes, well...they'd be wearing helmets most of the time.

Personally, I think she looks a special kind of awesome in a cool helmet. Less is more.

The Sam Deluxe ones are still for sale, they might just have run out in some locations.

I'll offer my services to anyone who wants anything (so far only series 1) since they're all available in plenty here in Ohio.

I'd like to know when we're getting a nice big recognizer. Not the cheap platic play case, or small die cast, but a nice size one like the lightcycles and light runner. Also, to anyone who has seen them, how big are the lightjet and lightfighters? Are they die cast models?

my buddy picked up the orange single fighter die-cast which has like a 3 inch wingspan and the deluxe which is like twice as big.
