 How Rare is Ultra-Rare?
The place to analyze rarity.

I think this topic is important to see what Scholastic & The 39 Clues Team is doing. It seems like there are more people who have #60 than people who have #141. It may be because there was more time to get #60, but I'm thinking otherwise. Anyway here is the data I want to collect from everyone. If you used three replicators put so down.
#60: Gained on my fifth (5th) Card Pack 1. Smile
#141: Still don't have. Crying or Very sad

My ultra-rare cards

How I got them:

I don't have them, physically. But someone from Scholastic gave me card 60.
Now I'm planning to replicate card 141. That's why I REALLY NEED A CARD REPLICATOR.

Well, they changed the distribution format between the first set of cards and the second set.

In the first set you got two packs of eight cards with 1 rare, 1 super common, 2 uncommon, and 6 common.

But in the second card set you just get one pack of 16 cards with 1 rare, 1 super rare, 4 uncommon, and 10 common.

If I've got the numbers wrong, please correct me, but I know that I've got the rares right.

So in the first set you got two rares per purchase, but in the second you only get one. The ultra rare counts as a rare card for distribution purposes, which means your chances of getting it have been chopped in half.

I also think they put less ultra rares into the mix overall. I've bought quite a few cards, and I've gotten four of card 60 but none of card 141 even though I've bought close to the same number of cards for each set. That's why I'm offering just a massive amount of cards (used and un-used) for a 141 whether the code is still good or not. It's just that much harder to get.

Wind Lane, in what you said about Card Pack 1, there would be 20 cards, instead of 16. I think I agree with Wind Lane that they just put fewer ultra-rare cards in the mix. Sad

Selling on eBay.

You can actually buy card #141 (unused & physical) on eBay, but that will be my last resort.

Got mine on eBay for like $24.50. It's usually worth like 60 bucks. Got mine on a deal. Very Happy

Well for me, I rather I replicate the card, print it out in colour, and create my own "card 141" by sticking the printouts of the front and back of the card on some manila card or very thin cardboard. That's what I did. Wink

I rather save the money than buy enough card packs to get the card or purchase the ultra rare off eBay.

Has anyone got the ultra-rare card in CP3 yet? If yes how many packs did it take you.

Alert

I already said this on the main topic but am going to say it again. There is a glitch on the site and the ultra rare card, 206 Angkor, is only worth 2 replicators. Get it while you can!
