Uhh I dont think he died three years ago, i think that was the last time Noah saw Milo.

Milo died like a day before the first video was up... i think.
A month is still a long time to hold a funeral tho haha

No, we know he died recently. I personally just figured he was already buried, that was that. I didn't think it'd take this long to bury him.

Maybe some members of the family couldn't attend the funeral for some reason or another; thus, they had to delay it?

I dunno.

There are several perfectly legitimate reasons why a funeral would be held so long after the death of someone. Speculating which reason is the right one is silly as it really doesn't have any visible effect on the story, at least from what I can tell. Assume that Noah will tell us why Milo's funeral was delayed if we need to know. Otherwise just overlook it; contribute the time frame to bad writing or whatever.

That being said, the funeral announcement is most likely just a prelude to more videos. It's possible that Noah will receive something from Milo's parents during the wake, or that Noah will find something of Milo's that'll act as his next batch of videos. That makes the most sense. Barring that, there's a distinct possibility that Noah will encounter The Slender Man in New York, either during the funeral or sometime after. Either way we can look forward to more videos from Noah.

You may be missing the wider point of this forum, or at least haven't read a good portion of the content produced in the wake of each new MH entry. Wink

I haven't Dray. Even the Marble Hornets entries always seemed excessive to me. I understand analyzing ToTheArk's videos, and I understand wanting to straighten up the audio during obvious conversations, but beyond that I was always like "...Why are you doing that?"

Especially those times where there was a new entry, 0-10 views, and people who hadn't taken the time to enjoy the video were downloading it from Youtube before watching it, just to take it autopsy it. Before they watched it.

I have a problem with that, haha.

Picking it apart without watching it at least once is getting a little excessive... though I don't remember anyone doing that, specifically.

As for going on at length, we do it because it's fun! It gave us something to stay up late about and banter about until the next episode came out, and afterwards something to get all riled up about. I, at least, didn't take any of the wool-gathering to be too serious business; if someone went too far out on a limb it didn't have to be taken as gospel or anything. (Besides, it was fun to try to find evidence to shoot down the crazy theories, or even to play both sides of the fence!)

Here... I don't know. I don't like this series as much as Marble Hornets, so I don't see the point of speculating about it. Especially when it seems more like it's more about covering up for the mistakes or blemishes of the creators!

I'll keep one eye on this one, cuz I miss MH. But it's a stinker, guys.

This dude pretty much nailed it. I'm watching it and have subscribed to his tweets because I have an unreasonable obsession with Slenderman after watching MH, but the entire production is "Marble Hornets, except shittier".

TT has had 7 entries plus an introduction and we've established nothing besides "a weird guy in a suit was all up in Milo's grill, but Milo refuses to talk about it". We reached that point for Alex by entry #2 of MH.

To summarize my main problems with TribeTwelve:

1) It would make zero sense to someone who has never seen Marble Hornets. It takes for granted things like the circle-X symbol, coughing fits and fear of cameras instead of giving us an in-character reason for them to exist. MH makes sense on its own, and is enhanced if you already know about Slenderman.

2) The acting is borderline unbearable. There is a difference between "people just being real" and "guys who know they are being filmed and are acting REALLY awkward because of it". TribeTwelve is the second one.

3) Shit that makes no sense even in context. Like someone said earlier, "Milo is my BFF and I only get to see him every few years. He's acting like someone is trying to kill him and steals my camera to go on midnight romps. I should probably leave him alone for an hour to go buy Doritos and not bother to ask him to come with." This is really minor compared to 1 and 2 but was kind of the last straw for my credibility.

I am still glad they're making this, and I hope it springboards them to better things. Maybe the post-funeral entry will rule and blow my mind. Just saying that right now this unfortunately doesn't hold a candle to MH or even EverymanHYBRID, IMHO.

You know, the more I watch this, the more I wonder if it's actually a parody of Marble Hornets. It's a little too sincere for that, I think, though "Noah" does sound like something someone would come up with if they were having a bit of fun at our expense.

And, the more I watch it, the more I become convinced this is what Alex Kralie's "Marble Hornets" would have been like had it actually made it to print. Bad acting, bad writing, terrible camera work, boring "plot", and Slenderman keeps showing up in the background.

So, while I don't find this nearly as compelling as the true MH, I will continue to watch, for those reasons. And also because they're pretty good at Slendering it up, I'd say even better than MH was at this point in its life. Remember Return? Remember how bad the Slendersuit looked in motion? Compare with the upside down shot in #2 and it's not hard to find something good in this.

I think you may be feeling a touch of 'back in the good old days' on this. Marble Hornets didn't really make a lot of sense. They didn't explain quite a lot of what was happening... though I think the presentation and giving us just enough hints to string out crazy theories was enough to hook most of the people here.

Maybe what this needs (aside from context and better acting) is to work on its story-line better, and move the Slendy-props and stuff to the peripheral to keep us guessing -- if they're trying to imitate MH then they could learn a lot from that.
