That's like saying that True Blood is ripping off of Blade, Nosfertau, and Twilight.

Not really. TribeTwelve uses the same exact format as MH, and uses many of the same plot elements. True Blood, Blade, Nosferatu, and Twilight have different styles and plot points among them.

Even if he didn't think it was Slendy, he still should have gotten something a tiny bit bigger than a pocket knife, especially if he only had one hand free, he would probably make the guy laugh with his camera/pocket knife combo than scare him.

Because Marble Hornets was just SO much more realistic compared to this one. Please. Adressing superfluous inconsistancies and critiquing to the bone instead of investigating the series for what it is and trying to solve the mysteries of the ARG is pretty sad. Come on. Confused

I think the story is getting much better, and I am on record as hating TribeTwelve in this thread. So IMHO, good work, Noah! And at least for me the "fuck fuck FUCK!" sequences made it seem real. Don't apologize if that's your natural reaction Smile It's exactly what I'd say if I had no idea what was threatening me and my only defense was a shitty 3 inch knife.

Nice job on those screencaps, guys. I saw the Slenderman sketch flash across the screen but didn't notice the words at all.

It's still MH inspired but he's distancing himself enough to keep it interesting. I'll be disappointed if whoever left that package becomes ToTheArk 2.0, but for now I am hooked. Just hope he can keep up a decent pace posting videos; Tweets will bridge a day or two but just aren't the same.

I guess the million dollar question is, who left the package? Time-traveling/not really dead Milo? Karl (lol)? Someone we have not met yet?

Because I have actually travelled back from the future where tribe 12 has finished two weeks ago!

There's nothing to investigate. He's throwing everything right in our face. There's no suspense. Who left the box? We can only give conjecture until he actually reveals it to us. He's hardly giving us clues, and even if we do figure anything out he won't actually interact with us over it. MarbleHornets was more realistic than this, in fact, despite the fact that Jay appeared to be a bit of a dimwit when it came to the evidence, besides that it didn't really have any parts that I thought were stupid.

Ok, let me just say this: I loved Marble Hornets. That said, I must ask these questions: One: You can say that the interview with Tim was not almost completely useless? Two: Jay/Alex were being stalked. No one thought to call the police? Three: TTA. No futher explaination nessasary.

Don't get me wrong, I love all those elements but if we want to bicker about the context of "reality" MH has slow bits and VERY questionable judgement on the part of the main characters. I mean, really, If I were Tim and I wanted to keep someone from getting brain-raped, my first thought would NOT be to put on a mask, leave creepy videos, then watch Jay as he sleeps, otherwise, leading a normal life at school.

PS: Insomnia posts...please beware scattered thoughts leaking into posts.

You have good, points, but I'm afraid I disagree with most. As shown in TribeTwelve, calling the cops is pretty useless because, as shown, both Slendy and Masky can disappear at will. Not to say that Jay knows that, but within the context of the ARG it would be fairly useless. The characters did have questionable judgment, but evidently some of them were a tad thick, judging by the bad acting and equally bad writing on Alex's end, so I don't completely rule that out. It does have slow bits, but that adds to the realism and suspense. Not every single bit of Jay's life is "OMG SLENDERMAN LOOK OUT", there's some investigating involved too. For the Tim bit, I don't think Tim had a choice in the matter. Jay didn't choose to get up in the middle of the night and wander off and disappear for hours, so it's equally as likely that Tim doesn't want to be Masky, but he's being forced to by Slendy.

I, for one, say stop getting butthurt over unimportant details and enjoy the series for what it is. No one wants to hear, "That's unrealistic! HURR DURR".

This coming from the guy who hasn't had strange noises around his house all night for days which is interfering with his sleep. It's kind of obvious to me that Noah is sleep deprived and slightly paranoid.

I'm not getting butthurt. I'm simply stating that the series is fairly unoriginal and unrealistic, and I honestly don't see the appeal to it whatsoever despite it being a MarbleHornets substitute. Why would you insult my opinion rather than state a logical argument of disagreement?

@Demongel That's what I mean. If he's paranoid, wouldn't he get something slightly more defensive? It seemed like he was going out with reckless abandon to me, which is inappropriate considering his currently scared state.

I find the argument that "this is unrealistic" is fine, except the reasoning around it is, more-or-less, "all people behave this way when paranoid!"

Do we REALLY need to nitpick the video? It's an ARG. Sit back and enjoy, and participate if you can. Critical thinking and extreme observation has it's time and place.

THANK YOU.
