Hey i noticed something in the unboxing vid. At around 1:41 when distortion happens, the screen goes black really quickly, and you can see text i think. ill try to get a screen shot. Its one frame so...

EDIT: its actually half a second before 1:39. its effing hard to catch

PS: I really recommend people to download "Avidemux", it's a free video editing tool, makes frame searching far easier.

thanks... ive been looking like a moron scrolling through the youtube vid. Are you sure thats all the text says? i think the whole screen had text. i may be wrong though

That's all i could find there, maybe there are more frames with hidden text but not in that segment.
The text actually appears in 2 frames sandwiching the slendysketch frame, it's specially hard to notice because there are completely black frames as well.

Check my post on page 17, I have image captures of all the hidden/interesting stuff I could find. It might be on there.

Don't forget about the last frame of the video: "I will wait for you". I upped the brightness and contrast. I like how the slender man drawing had no tentacles earlier, and now he does.

I thought when he went out to shank Slenderman with his tiny knife was amazingly stupid. I think he brought the camera because it was the only source of light he had on hand at the moment. The lights going out, not being hunted by faceless monsters from beyond reality.

As for the knife, same premise- the only weapon he had, and I don't think it's likely that he expected Slendy, but more realistically a prowler or other more human interloper. I don't think at the moment that he could really believe that Slender Man is anything other than a creepy tall guy in a suit.

Early prognostication: The electronics come from a demolished camera- perhaps the same one that recorded the unspooled DV tape.

I severely doubt he didn't have a single other light source in his house. I mean, in the context of the story, sure, but it's still unrealistic. Same with the knife. He could have grabbed a kitchen knife of some sort. If you're going to bring a weapon with you, you may as well grab the best one you have. Even if he didn't think it was Slendy, he still should have gotten something a tiny bit bigger than a pocket knife, especially if he only had one hand free, he would probably make the guy laugh with his camera/pocket knife combo than scare him.

Think about this for a second: it's 3AM. You're hearing strange noises all around your house, and all of a sudden, your lights turn off. You frantically look around for a source of light (in this case, a camera. This also helps document what happened for future reference). At this point, you don't really want to go out into your kitchen and find the biggest knife you have. You want IMMEDIATE protection. So you grab a pocket knife you have laying around.

You have to also remember that this all occurs as he's beginning to realize that a supernatural german fairytail antagonist has been hanging around him for a few years.
