Holy crap. How bad is that acting by his "parents". Their faces aren't shown because their too busy reading the script.

Horrible. I did like how Slendy appeared however. But robot parent scripting ruined it.

As has been said, that was probably his real parents agreeing to along with it, so take it for what it is. It's not a big-budget movie with A-list actors, it's not a big production that you've invested money into, it was an exposition-heavy episode of a FREE youtube horror series. And one that happened to have an awesome Slendy sighting. Enjoy it for what it is.

There's no excuse for that bad of a job.

There's also a big difference between an excuse and an explanation. No one gave you an excuse. Here's your ticket back to Hollywood, Ebert. Laughing

I can't really fault Nimbus for the parents' acting. If I drafted my parents for something like this, they'd be at least as amateurish if not far worse. My father's brief turn as Captain James Tiberius Kirk of the Starship Enterprise at a public conference when I was nine years old (and in the front row, wishing I was dead) need not be recounted here.

Anyway, what I value much more than Mr. and Mrs. Noah's hilarious hand acting (hands = faces!) is the fact that he drafted them at all and went through with it. Even EMH, which I adore, didn't do that (although I guess they probably drafted Jeff's mom to do voice work after the fact, so good on them). Sure, it's a question - 'do I go there knowing this scene will be awkward if they can't carry it off and it may alter the video's mood, or do I go all the way anyway?' If it was me I might not have done it. But then my series would've been a little more safe.

It adds a note of risk and authenticity to his storyline with his family for him to go that extra mile, even if the performance was a bit of a goof on their part. A lot of great horror films made by amateurs had similar iffy performances from non-actors which we can look back on now with a bit of a jaundiced eye, but which don't do anything in the end but add to the texture of what were overall very effective independent horror films - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Night of the Living Dead, The Last House On The Left, etc. If the material is good enough, it overcomes those kind of wrinkles. I laughed at the hand acting, but I didn't really have a problem with it and I still was engaged by the story they and he were telling. Also, the incredible Slendy entrance.

In the interview video there was a sighting? I know people were kind of looking for it because of the distortion, myself included, but I didn't really notice anything...or maybe I'm derping and you just mean Slendy in general is rather awesome in TT...

Edit: DISREGARD, I'm an idiot. Found it after a second watch.

That'd be a bit of an overkill. Also, unlikely, since MH is still in flashback mode (still retelling events from the time between seasons one and two).

Completely joking, I think everyone can agree that MH has got more than enough on it's plate right now.

Although, on a serious note... someone else does have to get the pieces to that paper. I wonder whether it'll be other people already within the EMH/TT realm, or if we're going to see someone else get dragged into HABIT's games? TJ and Amy did
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
use Evan as a cameo appearance, and seem to be planning on teaming up with the guys from 5zer02.

Not saying I necessarily think that may happen, but it is a thought. I don't want to get carried away with all of the OMGCROSOVUR speculation. I have good faith that this will be handled much better than the infamous blog clusterfuck.

Noah can't figure out "unreliable narrator" precisely because he is an unreliable narrator.

The acting made me want to stab my eyes out, but I can understand the trouble with using one's own parents. The most distracting part for me was the hand stuff. DEAR GOD, I thought they were doing ASL for the people that couldn't lip read.

Part of me wants to know more about Mary Asher's multiple imaginary friends. If Slender Man is real, could the others be real too? Was she also seeing HABIT, or maybe The Rake?

Another thing that was glossed over was "I had to stop talking to her when she tried to kill your father,". After that line they just flipped into something else completely. If I found out that my aunt tried to kill my dad, I'd have a fit, but Noah didn't even second guess. Has he told us the story previously and I just missed it? Can someone ask about it? Why hasn't he told us about that particular incident?

I believe I know where another 4th of the note is, I hope you excuse me talking sloely about EMH here, but I'd like to clarify for you. If you're following THESEVENTRIALSOFHABIT, then you should know about rabbit #052. In short, he won the second prize, which almost definitely has a 4th of the note in it. Because of legal issues, he wasn't able to do trial 6, so he told HABIT to either push him through to trial 7, or he wouldn't open the box. The box needs to be opened for HABIT's plan. Yesterday rabbit #052 posted a video of "something" (most likely HABIT/The Rake) attacking him and his roommate, and it most likely took the box. The current location of the box is unknown, but it most likely has part of the note.

EDIT: My guess is that the last rabbit remaining after trial 7 will recieve the last 4th of the note

Am I the only one who thought that the audio was recorded separately from the video?
I couldn't even see his mother's jaw moving. Which explains all the gesticulation.
Lawl, this does nothing for the discussion.

That's a trick also pulled in Grandfather Karl, leaving the actor's face offscreen so they could dub over any dialogue stumbles.

Also, dat slendervanishing, so awesome. Also, logically, Noah should be looking directly at where he crops up, if I've read the reflections correctly.
