Tribe Twelve's pretty good. It has, averaged over the whole series, about as many slendermoments as EMH, and both of them are maybe a bit more densely packed than Marble Hornets.
The acting is definitely the general low-point of the series. Milo, Noah's parents, and Sarah's dad are all fairly amateurish, being amateurs and all, but Noah, Sarah, and Karl have all been fairly good performances.
As for immersion, creators are only forbidden from posting in the threads for their games; aside from that it's fine for them to interact with fans OOG. And Adam's never posted anything in-game that compromises the fourth wall, unlike Marble Hornets, which advises you to buy their DVD right on the page.
And I personally find Tribe Twelve to have some of the most potent scares in the entire vlogosphere. Marble Hornets does well at setting up a sense of isolation, but Tribe Twelve has delivered more than a few genuinely scary visuals and moments and jump scares without resorting to screamers.

And please, don't be afraid to come back, to join the community, and to try and get into Tribe Twelve. The people here only got upset and defensive towards you because you rather rudely attacked the series in your opening post, but now that that's all behind us I'm sure we can move forward. Hope to be hearing more from you soon.

Inuranchan, the reason people get testy when they read posts that sound like: "Hey I heard TribeTwelve is good but I watched one or two and it sucks so far. Can someone here convince me that it's actually good?" is because this series has been receiving requests like that for over a year straight, now. And they never change. And the response to the requests never changes. It's a depressing reminder that no matter how good the series gets, it's always going to be judged by new viewers based on the more amateur early episodes.

There's no surefire way to make a fan defensive of their favorite thing than by having viewer after viewer repeat the same concerns over and over like they're the first people to notice some problem, forcing the fan to re-explain again and again that "no, it gets better, there's just this part early on you have to slog through but trust me..." without ever making any progress.

The Marble Hornets videos has more videos, it's only logical they have more slenderman. The series had been around for much longer. Granted I am told I missed a few slenderman sightings in the first season, but through transcripts (which I'm sure you know point out exactly where he is) I see he is there way more often for such a short lived series. Again, excuse me for thinking having the horror figure of your story constantly in scene after scene makes him less scary and more predictable. I guess that's just a personal thing for me.

Even adjusting for the difference in the number of videos, the Slender Man appears more often in Marble Hornets than in Tribe Twelve. He is, in fact, in almost every video in the first season. (Thus the number of times you see him in the first half-dozen or so Tribe Twelve videos, as those were intended to be an homage.

...thinking on it a little bit, I can't seem to recall more than...three times since, say, Night Recording that Tall, Dark and Emaciated has actually shown up on screen. I know of the tentacles at least once or twice, but unless I'm seriously missing something I've only seen him a handful of times.

Wow. They way people have been acting in this thread towards other posters has just about convinced me to stop posting here. I thought this forum was different and people were treated with a degree of respect, but feel like I was wrong.

TT is a great series IN MY OPINION. That is all we have on this board is OUR OPINIONS. Not sure why people get jumped and bashed for expressing a dissenting view, Not everyone has to like all the VLOGS. :/

PS Sometimes the acting IS not good, and the same can be said for every Slenderman VLOG I have ever seen, and again, this is just my opinion

Just sayin....

I can totally understand this, BUT at the same time....There is no way for Inuranchan, or any other newcomer to know this, esp if they just made an account. Just seems way harsh they way they got jumped all over.

Jumping all over people seems to be in fashion around here. You gotta roll with the punches.

Slendy showing up in any video from any series is usually a bad sign because it means that nothing important or interesting is about to happen.

There are exceptions, but the rule is "stands around, looks creepy".

I agree that some of the responses were a bit over the top, but Inuranchan's original comment came across in a manner that seemed more about bashing TribeTwelve than a legitimate question about the show. Also the fact that he's never watched more than a few of the Submissions and has decided to hate on everything based on online summaries.

If he had posted something more along the lines of "Hey, I've never really been a fan, but because of the crossover I'm kind of curious, what are some reasons people like this series." it would have come across a lot better than "I haven't watched more than a few episodes because this series sucks so bad, even the online summaries are terrible, hate, hate, hate, hate, change my mind."

I'm done with the argument (though pointing out that I didn't discover this on my own, I was sent here, and also pointing out that what my opinions do not reflect upon my tasks as a moderator, might be a bit helpful), I just want an answer to a question I posed.

But I can wait.

Or I can just go look.

Wow...Uh..for those defending me thank you very much. It's very kind of you.
For those still angry at me for my original post, I do admit I should have worded my question more delicately. For that I do apologize. I did not mean to come off as bashing the series at all, nor did I mean to be rude but I am still sorry for accidentally being so.

I wasn't going to come back here but a friend of mine who keeps up with this forum pointed out to me you guys are still discussing this...so again I apologize, for accidentally halting the discussion of this series. Hope this helps you guys move on and continue more important discussions.

(p.s. HealthyAshes, I do not frequent the web enough to know what "tl;dr" means. I have a guess but that's it, so your insult, as I'm guessing it is, is wasted on me unless you wish to tell me what it means. Feel free to pm the meaning to me I guess, so as not to further disrupt this thread..)

I feel I owe you an apology as well. I didn't mean to scare you off.

Stick around a while. We're not always this bad.

I would like to stick around, and put this whole thing behind me.

Everyone's happy, then.

And it means "too long, didn't read"
