Given that the Dark Harvest boys showed up in the "Noah" video of EMH, could it be possible that The Collective Knowledge is one of the books Noah needs to find?

I know black leather diaries/notebooks are a staple of the Mythos and it's more than likely everyone just being lazy and deciding to get both crossovers overwith in one go, but you never know, it could have been a hint.

Slendy was at both meetings, after all.

I could sort of see TT ending quite soon. Noah gets journal. Milo shows up and is clearly Observer. Noah tries to keep journal away from Milo/the Observer, who wants it because possession of it will let Slendy get at Grandpa Karl. There's a struggle and probably a bit of stuff in black and white.

And then Noah was Observer.

Where did all this talk of TT ending come from. Has there been any hint of that happening.

Damn, that is creepy. I can just picture the last frame of Milo all in those weird colours, with the message 'Join me', Slendy tentacles coming out of his sides....

That said, I'm actually hoping that it won't be resolved with Noah finding a journal (no offence, your idea is terrific awakeasaurusrex, this is my only niggle). That's Dark Harvest territory (and good territory though it is). I wasn't really happy with the Everyman Hybrid crossover, because I think that TribeTweleve works well within its own little bubble. As soon as you have the other vlogs interacting, you can't help but wonder why Noah doesn't stick with them for protection. Okay, yes, they have their own problems, but what about safety in numbers? (That said, I haven't had time to review HYBRID either)

In answer to your earlier statement, variations do exist, not just in horror, but in all genres. Stories would get pretty boring without them. I mean, think about The Blair Witch Project (Spoilers follow if you haven't seen the film). You could hardly say that Josh or Michael are Heather's love interest. While yes, there are hints of a previous relationship between Heather and Josh in the film (or at least, that's how I interpret it) There's no need for love to be in every story (although given how universal it is, it's hard not give it a nod) That said, the groups assumption that whoever/whatever is affecting them can not act in, is the antagonist being halted (which turns out to be a lie). In the case of TribeTweleve, such a moment can be when Noah is seemingly not being bothered by the threat which is following him. (I'm sure everyone else will find other examples, but I've been busy lately and haven't had time to review the series)

Inevitably, all stories fall into a pattern. There's a problem to be resolved, the antagonist, the cause of that problem. The hero tries to overcome that problem, meets with some success, some obstacle emerges that hinders complete success (a person or persons dies, as you said), and the story comes to the conclusion in which the hero either triumphs or fails.

Love doesn't have to be in every story, although it's hard not to give it a nod. (If TribeTweleve was a novel, Noah's back story about his previous relationships - if he had any - would at least be touched on once) I'm actually pretty pleased that TribeTweleve has steered away from typical conventions so far.

This re-enforces my sense that the series could be coming to a conclusion. Maybe Noah will be 'reborn' on his birthday as one of the 'Dark Children'? Or maybe it's just a ploy by Adam to make us think that the series is ending...? Laughing
