Funny, because that's exactly how I feel about EverymanHybrid. I pretty much predicted their newest entry verbatim. Rolling Eyes

I'm sure. EverymanHYBRID is way deeper than

"Woah I'm with my cousin. Let's act badly with some Slenderman sightings."

"Woah I don't remember getting up in the middle of the night"

"Woah Milo is acting weird"

"Woah there's some dude in my house"

"Woah it's time for Milo to go home"

"Woah he's dead"

"Woah let me point out all of the Slenderman sightings thus far because I'm under the impression that my audience is retarded"

"Woah there's someone outside, let me wander around waving a three inch knife infront of my face for a few minutes before I find a box"

"Woah there's a bunch of garbage in this box I wonder what's on it"

"Woah it has some creepy stuff didn't see that coming"

"Woah Milo's family is gone"

"Woah I need to go investigate"

And then for the following entries...

"Woah they're totally disappeared and some creepy shit happens"

"Woah more really obvious Slenderman sightings and ear-raping distortion"

etc. etc. etc.

Ok, lets drop the bickering, PLEASE. We just got over 10+ pages of "Canon/not canon" fighting. Now, I will be in Hawaii for the next week so if our favorite health group sends me anything, I fear I will be delayed. In posting it. The only reason I bring it up is because I know they lurk here...Because in my entry and email to them, I never mentioned I go by Magus.

Realize that the Tribe Twelve storyline has only been going for 4 months. Everyman Hybrid has been around since february. Don't be so hard bro

Grim Joker just seems to incessantly whine instead of really discussing the series. It's sad, really.

Actually, it's 5 months if you follow the twitter. Both were created on May 18.

oh yea thats right. my bad. my point though is that it's good that the story is going at this pace. Look at jon clubs. that series went so fast that it's funny to watch now.

and i think that everymanhybrid covers more breadth than depth.

There's no doubt that EverymanHYBRID is a deeper series with better acting. So was Marble Hornets. But both of them are also quite predictable. It doesn't matter, they're still entertaining.

TribeTwelve's acting never goes above passable, and the writing is... somewhat better, I'll say, but that's not its main strength. The main strength is it's an easy to follow web series (not ARG), with great special effects. It's the series you check out every couple weeks to see if it's updated, not like EverymanHYBRID where you need a wiki and two forums just to follow it.

I just enjoy the series as there's no point in comparing Marble Hornets, EverymanHYBRID, TribeTwelve, JohnClubs (ComeSaveHer), etc. There's seriously no point. The only connecting factor between all of them is the presence of The Slender Man. Beyond that each one is patently different in plot, execution, and budget. It's like comparing Night of the Living Dead to Return of the Living Dead to Resident Evil to 28 Days Later. You might think you're doing something useful, but the rest of us zombie fans would kindly like you to shut the fuck up so we can enjoy our zombies in peace.

Good evening Mr. Sock Puppet. How dare I call a series bad for legitimate reasons. Yes, I am clearly such a very sad person.

This.
I like EverymanHYBRID, TribeTwelve, and Marble Hornets equally. They've all contributed something to the Slenderman legend. Each series has its perks and faults, nobody's perfect. But if you keep dwelling on the faults, you make the experience of the ARG not enjoyable for the rest of us. So shut up and enjoy the series for what it is, or make your own Slendy vlog series. :/

New Twitter - and with some substance this time. Not only a hint that a boardwalk video might be coming up, but also the introduction of a new character!

I know this may not be the "safest" idea, but have you thought about going back to check out the boardwalk?

Yes, but I've been too afraid to go alone. My friend, Kevin, who translated Karl's German, might come. I'll convince him.

Welcome, Kevin! I hope you have an impeccable hair style, or there are some bad people here who'll make fun of you.

By the way, I don't think anyone is unaware that TT has its flaws. Some will find good parts to weigh out the bad, some won't. That's it, really.

Ooooh, a new character. I was actually thinking the same thing about the hair the moment I read the tweet. Just a shame he couldn't have flown Kevin up to New York to actually translate grampa Karl's ramblings in real time.

Well, for the discussion - TT is pretty much a MH rip-off in a few ways. It got better, but it's really close to the basic idea and structure.
It changed significantly once shit hit the fan and the effects got better - and I'm glad it did. I think the guys behind it need to really embrace some stuff and start planning/shooting in advance to make it really good.

New character - that's a good thing!! Cool
