Hell no. He may have created the Slender Man, but that doesn't mean that we need to follow everything he says. In fact, Victor Surge has contributed virtually nothing to the mythos besides the original ideas and pictures. Making rules like that restricts imagination and ruins potential creativity. There are so many different takes on Slender Man that it just doesn't matter what Victor would 'rule'. We all have our own individual unique headcanons.

I completely agree. New ideas should always be welcomed.

Yeah. This is a mythos on the Internet. It's a few steps up from a chain letter/copypasta. You can't really make rules for something in the public domain. What you can do is either enjoy it as much as possible or use the conventions and break them in interesting ways.

TribeTwelve excels at this by pulling some fundamental Slenderman attributes, adding in new dark and twisted elements, and having a great approach to production value.

People have remarked on how Adam's acting range has increased over time; I think that's a testament to how much he's worked to react to and portray the experience of being trapped in thy mythos. His was the first vlog to really do rage well. He's incorporated fear, mania, exhaustion, and confusion.

(Side note: for anyone who does Tabletop gaming, Noah would be a note-perfect character for Don't Rest Your Head.)

All of the above is possible because vlog and blog authors are allowed to take risks, break convention, and give us something new. Sometimes it works brilliantly. Sometimes it fails terribly. Sometimes it's forgotten. Rules are for writing workshops; once you get out into a wild, you're not in rules territory anymore.

Valid point. I guess I was kinda talking out of my ass. In all honesty, not only have the fans created better backstory and interpretations, but the fact that people have even created him in real life just makes him that much more terrifying than any little thick forest shot.

Fuck. Sam is pretty angry at me for leaking the manifest the way I did and refuses to help me for the time being. Back to square one.
Sam should of known that when he said ''Don't tell anyone I gave this to you", that he was on camera.

I don't understand why he needs to contact Sam.

Me neither, but remember, isn't Sam the one who knows quite a bit about are friend Slendy, or is just a conspiracy whackjob.

Yes, YES, YES a million times yes. TribeTwelve was pretty good but the second the observer showed us the whole collective I very nearly shit my pantaloons. The collective has been a huge anchor tying me to the TT series and I'm sure many can agree with me. It's just so badass/mysterious. I hope by the end of the series all of their origins and faces can be seen. Also we find out what can hurt slendy but that's kind of a long shot.

Yeah, the one I wanna' see is Deadhead with his gangsta hood & I really wanna' know what Slenderz weakness is & see Noah use it against him, even though alot of Slender vlogs usually don't show Slender Man showing any kind of being hurt, or anything.

I can't wait for the cultist video. I believe one of the collective should be in the video since the observer is implied to be with Noah in Jersey.
I just got the weirdest thought on slender man's weakness. slenderman's only weakness is the love ring from Ma-Ti. With that he would evolve into splendorman, who can use sparkle distortion powers. The thing is, it only works when you trade slendermans into a different series.

Well, we've seen three now, if you include Slenderman. I suspect we'll see more as time goes on. I'm not sure what their individual purposes are, if in fact they do have specific roles or domains.

OOG, I'm interested in seeing how Adam takes these bizarre looking characters and edits them into his video. Incorporating the Collective as active figures in the episodes will just be more evidence of his kickass FX skills.[/spoiler]

Another thing that strike me as weird is that in the "chess game" most of the white pieces are considered people noah knows (with the exception of observer/kevin being on the black side).

Firebrand: Milo or Noah from the future?
Cursor: Noah's mom or Mary?
Persolus: Grandpa Karl?
Swain: Unknown? Perhaps maybe one of the people Karl worked with or fought during WWII seeing as Swain has an english uniform and I can't really remember if Karl was a nazi or not.
Mr. Scars: John? Maybe Mary's first husband seeing as how John is milo's stepdad. Now that I think about it we never heard from Milo's real dad or maybe I'm forgetting and he's dead or missing.

Another separate theory (minor spoilers from MLAndersen0 ahead)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Maybe Mr. Scars is Micheal/Patrick? It is revealed that Micheal did cut himself on the arms and feet. Noah IS fond of crossovers and MLAndersen0 is part of the big five if I'm not mistaken

I do realize that these theories are really bad and I have prepared my body for a bashing/total debunking. But thanks for reading anyways.

I think you are on to something with the whole 'Persolus being Karl' idea. Gpa Karl fought on the Allied side; he talks in the story about the Nazi soldier being the one who Slendy took while everyone else stood around in horror. The Observer lists him as 'the hermit', which fits perfectly. Even the twitpic of Persolus looks like him. He doesn't want anything to do with the group, yet he is forced to play a part, which is why when Noah showed up the second time, he told him 'it wasn't time yet', because he knows.

The Observer calls himself 'a sentinel by trade past his expiration date, the eyes' and that he needs to complete his 'session' and his session is 'what killed Milo'. I like the Kevin idea, makes total sense to me. Kevin looks like the Observer and the note cards he holds up indicate that he is one of them; he even bears very similar handwriting.

Swain is 'the lover'. Swain is an old Viking word; it means beau, shepherd and servant. He is wearing a comedy theater mask, which typically references the performing arts, like theater, or more recently, film. Masks often hide the wearer from being known. Thus, I would guess that Swain is someone who acts innocent and unknowing, but underneath is a fighter, referenced by the military uniform (which looks like an indeterminant uniform to me). It has been hypothesized that this is the Nazi soldier from Karl's story, but I also think this could be Noah's dad. He acts innocent and is the lover of Noah's mom, but it has been brought up that in the video when Slendy appears, Noah's dad sees him as well but does nothing. It would explain as well why the device in Noah's house remained after the remodeling, because his dad could be the one that put in the new floors. This could also be Katie (the girl from Noah's childhood) or Sarah, both of which shared potential 'love' connections with him to a certain degree throughout his life.

Deadhead is 'the nationalist'. I think he is a character that has not been introduced formally to us, but has some sort of Nazi connection. Perhaps this is the Nazi soldier? After all, deadhead is an old Nazi term.

Cursor is 'the selfish'. Selfish about what? Perhaps Milo. The picture is of a woman with covered eyes. The implication being that she cannot see that which is before her. Cursor is Latin for 'that which runs'. I think the meaning pretty much tells us who this is. Cursor should be Mary. She is running, but she cannot see that her death waits at the hands of the one who she seeks, Mr. Scars.

Mr. Scars is 'the one who kills Mary, the burdened'. The twitpic is of a figure peering through its hands in fear. I am thinking these are more internal scars than they are external. Who could this be? Probably not John. Mary mentions in the phone call that she 'had him removed from the equation', and being a fellow Collective member, she would know that death wouldn't be the mere end of him. On the manifest, the comments actually mention that Mary has a scar or her right palm. Perhaps this is actually Milo, since Noah supposedly knows who he is? Or, he could also be Noah's father? Perhaps it is Robert, her first husband. She says that something happened with him, and if she is 'Mrs. Scars', then he would be 'Mr. Scars'.

The Firebrand is described by the Observer as 'the stubborn'. I'm thinking that this is probably Noah from the future. It could be Milo, and that would warrant a shocked reaction, but Noah already knows that Milo's body went somewhere else (due to Mary telling him the ashes were the cats), so the probability of Milo showing up and shocking Noah is high, but he sounded more disbelieving, leading me to think that it was likely himself he saw instead. If he saw Milo, sure, he would be shocked, but it wouldn't be outside of the realm of believability (based on all the other odd things that have happened to him).

This is why Noah cannot escape. Everyone he knows or even remotely cares about is in on this. It makes me sad to think about but I can't see any remotely feasible way for Noah to escape. If Mary already knows how to kill the Keeper but cannot, and won't tell Noah, then it means his options are severely limited. I'm thinking in truth that maybe, just perhaps, she doesn't really know, and is playing her part in the game. Perhaps the book will really help the Collective? Perhaps they want it only to further their objectives and upon securing it via Noah will have completed their 'training' and brought him over to their side?

Things to think about and I just created another monstrous post. Jeeze, I need to stop doing that!
