Because it's never been Slenderman's intention to hurt or kill them. He obviously has other uses for all of them, considering he's been in Noah's house countless times, even when he's been asleep. In fact, in Dark Harvest, he seems almost... playful.... with the main characters. So far it seems the cult is both more dangerous and pathetic at the same time. Nothing's probably more frightening than having your unpredictable, ungrateful and uncontrollable god on earth, amongst you.

Anyhoo, I loved this episode.

Great things:

1) the Observer's laughter in the background "You are Hilarious"
2) Dropping the bloody guy on the windshield, and then seeming to be pulled off... so well done! Genuinely scary.
3) The fact that the overseer seems less scary when Noah pans down to see he's wearing tennies under his robes.
4) Noah is like a tempermental two-year old... no patience. Just tantrums when he doesn't get his way.
5) When Slenderman picks up the guy in his tentacles...
6) At 11:30 what the hell is THAT? is someone standing on the hood? it almost looks like the shoes are on the dashboard... do they have a sunroof? is someone sitting with their feet IN THE CAR? I literally cannot interpret what's going on there! Oh, wait, those are Noah's shoes, but how can they be where they are?
7) "Can I get some ice cream?" Love it.

Thanks so much for the awesomeness, Nimbus. Well done. And funny.

Pic... look like he is swinging one cult member by the foot.

Wheeeeee!

Tagged because asked on OOG formspring, however it's not exactly OOG or spoilery at all (unless you haven't watched the video maybe).

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Did I just watch the fucking Slenderman ripping someone apart with his tentacles? If so, I elevate you to God tier status.
smile

...maybe

Could someone post a pic of this? I tried to look for it, but I cannot see it. I feel blind. Razz

I dunno, TribeTwelve just isn't doing it for me lately. I find Noah to be a downright unlikable protagonist and outright want him to lose to the Collective. At least the Observer's a funny guy, Noah doesn't even have that goin' for him.
The acting swings between high-quality and so-clearly-fake-it's-goofy at a weird rate in each entry, it's like I'm alternating between being immersed and raising an eyebrow at how poorly something was delivered.

I can respect what he's doing with the storyline, but as far as the videos themselves, I just ain't feelin' it with the past few most recent ones.

Yep, the biggest problem is that there's no natural connection between 'interviewing' the overseer and switching into his usual tantrum swear-at-everything mode.

Having that happen once or twice might be 'believable', but it's getting predictable. Totally agree regarding the immersion breaking, his acting with Chris and Alex before the encounter is fine, during the encounter it's just.. bad. Contrast that with Chris/Alex, where the acting is far more steady.

I will say it was really cool seeing the cult actually interacting with their 'God' though.

This is what I love about UF, even though the video is completely amazing in pretty much every way, people can still go out of their was to find ways to call it poor.

Classic UF. Rolling Eyes

This is one of those perfect Slender Man videos, it has everything you could ever hope for, story, suspense, action, plot development, great audio & distortion, scares, humor, and effects. I have barely any critiques about the video besides that I wish it had come out sooner!

The acting was probably some of the best I've ever seen out of the guys, and it takes a lot for me to say that since I'm an theater major. It felt really realistic, especially while they were in the car. Everyone preformed beautifully. And Noah is more likable than ever, he stood up the leader of a cult and tried to walked off on him, you guys are off your rockers if you think that's not badass.

I don't wanna repeat what's already been said, but yeah, this was probably the best video I've ever seen relating to Slender Man. It's blowing Marble Hornets completely out of the water.

I'm not the sort of person who thinks you should never criticize something when you have issues with it, but I honestly find Noah to be one of the more believable protagonists in the "mythos". Everyone deals with stress/anger differently and he just happens to have a very short fuse, it would seem. It seems far more understandable to me than when people react totally calmly in the face of these sorts of situations.

On an unrelated note, the shot of the shoe inside the car was kind of baffling. I went back to that part several times and still have no idea why it was there. Anyone?

I'm gonna be that guy who totally breaks whatever comfort you might have got from thinking those were Noah's shoes. They totally weren't.

Noah wears converses. Always has, and in this video, when he gets out of the car to go see the cult, when he's swinging his camera around after the first Slenderman Appearance, and when he's on the beach, he's wearing converses.

Those boots are black high top lace ups with no white to them at all, which they would have if they were converses.

The next thing to point out is that when you watch that bit, Noah is looking at Alex, pans to the right, and the shoes are there, and then they just... pop out. Gone.

Draw from that what you will, I don't know how to explain what it was either.

Awesome video, very creepy, and I found it rather amusing that Slendy raptures someone. When are those cultists going to learn that seeing their "god" usually leads to a few of them winding up dead??

Also...

Off topic. I think some of you guys may have unrealistic expectations out of an amateur made horror series on youtube.

On topic. That was really amazing, that whole scene with the tentacles and the swinging cultist was just fantastic really, and that slenderman was pretty fucking scary looking as well. All in all this was a great video and I cant wait to see what comes next, especially for the dark harvest guys.

I didn't write that. Razz

And in relation to earlier comments: *Sigh.* Is this really what every fanbase is coming to? Bashing and laughing at whoever has a justified criticizing opinion? Jesus, I thought the Marble Hornets forum was bad. I actually feel sorry for Pravado, rather than being like everyone else, who just feels silly fanboy hate towards him.

I was genuinely freaked out when the Order all come out of the shadows. And then when Slenderman comes, and seemingly absorbs the guy. After the cut when he begs to be taken to Fourth World, you see his robe and the masks lying on the ground.
The Order is a really great idea a Slenderseries has never done before. Times like these make me wish Alan Moore returned to write horror.

I'm a bit disappointed that The Slender Man actually rising up on his tentacles and picking a cult member up is so hard to see. It looks great in a brightened screencap, but in the video itself it's almost impossible to tell what's going on.

Amazing work ,though, by Nimbus. One of the best Slender Man videos from any series.

So do we have any speculation on who "Henka Visæ" is?

Meh, It was okay. Although I was dissapointed that the video used that generic "BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" distortion sound from DarkHarvest.
